Cutting has its advantages .you get leaner, faster , your gains are more noticable but lol if your in your prime 16-21 just keep slow bulking, healthy whole grain carbs and alot of healthy natural fats with your protein and your golden. Im at almost 20% but i got my bodpod done the other day and my lbm is going up. Lol at misc logic " you wont gain unless your 15%>". Who the phuck cares about bodyfat when your young? You deprive yourself of the nutrients you need to grow and your friends and fam think your anorexic because they only see you eat tuna and chicken breast. Lol relax boyos and enjoy growing. As long as you keep your cardio up and eat right it doesnt matter . You wont get fat. I promise. If you get too high do a very small cut ( like a month - 6 weeks). Dont spin your wheels like i did for a year and a half. Getting down to 10% isnt worth it at our age. Keep eating. Keep bustin your ass at the gym and making them gains.


Cliffs : just keep slow bulking and growing if your young.

As long as you keep up your cardio and eat right while busting your ass in the gym youll be fine.

best way to start life from age 5 to 20 is to slow bulk and work the muscles surrounding the spine, hips and scapula 3-6x week, incorporating plenty of unilateral hip extension, core rotation and scapular retraction movements... that'll set a person up to have laterally balanced muscles for the rest of his life and to maximize his vertical growth potential

if I could go back to my training years when I was 18 I would have done PHAT or PPL and ate high carb+ protein and <100g fat for atleast 2 years without even thinking about body fat, I could have gotten bigger quicker and stayed leaner in the process.

I have decent gains from my younger years my lbm is around 160 but its hard for me to cut. My body adapts too quickly and plateus. The lowest ive been is about 12% @ 178. Then i joined the army and by the end of training, i went up to 197. Weird right. Youd think basic would get you in shape.

I agree with what OP says to an extent. Ive been bulking for four years now. It is a slow bulk. But ive gained lots of size and strength. and know im prepping to do a slooooow cut to get stronger or preserve my strength

i dont have 10/10 facial aesthetics at 20% bf, my facial aesthetics are pretty good sub 13, but why the fuk would I spend my youth with sub par facial aesthetics just because "it deprives my body of nutrients."
brb on cut just eat a chit ton of veggies and get better nutrition than the fatties my age
brb fruits for that energy without even worrying about the cals of them.
honestly lol if you are above your facial aesthetics BF which seems to be anywhere above 15, at this age all girls care about is the face, later on women seem to like bulkier men with higher BF%.
