"So this is how liberty dies.....with thunderous applause."
“A noble man compares and estimates himself by an idea which is higher than himself; and a mean man, by one lower than himself. The one produces aspiration; the other ambition, which is the way in which a vulgar man aspires.”

a decent normal crack block will do that in the NFL. that's literally nothing special.
you foreign ****s don't realize that in the NFL, pads vs hit strength is an arms race. Football was originally no pads, but because brahs were hitting so hard, pads HAD to be developed and improved over the decades as hitting strength increased. Even with pads, you still see the damage that players get. There's a reason why the NFL season only has so few games compared to most other sports--because of the injuries. Even after the NFL, many players get bad lingering effects from all the hits.
The pads do dampen the hit, and most hits aren't painful at all--but a good hit will really rattle your head and your body. A decent helmet-to-helmet crack, which happens more often than you think (usually facemask to facemask), can rattle you pretty hard--especially if your helmet is loose like many players have it.
