No rules, just good old fashioned bare knuckle brawling. Wondering if fighting skills or pure power would come out on top.

I meant more like mass. Dude is 300+ lbs, McGregor walks around at about 170 lbs.
Can't remember exactly what the video was, but I was watching either a power lifter of bodybuilder roll with a black or brown belt in jiu jitsu. Bodybuilder had about 200 lbs on him and was was significantly stronger and the jui jitsu guy couldn't do **** to him despit the guy being a complete novice. He'd just power out of everything he tried and would just lay on him and pin him down.
Skill only overcomes size and strength up to a certain point.

A bare knuckle boxing match?
Probably the same outcome.
That's still a ruleset that unfavours the mountain.
A genuine no holds barred fight (nothing off limits)... I would put money on the mountain. If You Don't Like To Talk About Your Feelings, This Might Help...

The greater the difference in skill, the less size and strength matter. In a no rules fight Conor would do what most people his size would do...attack the legs. Not just to hurt him, but to make him aware of the attack. Set a trap, feint an attack to the leg, and when he bites come over the top. A chin is a chin, and a good well timed shot will put any man down irregardless of size.

Gymcel powerlifter strength matters very little against a good fighter. Hall would have far less chance than the mountain. The reason I'd probably back the mountain in a fight to the death is that he's extremely mobile and athletic for his size. He clearly knows a bit about fighting and would be very hard to hurt given his huge bulk.....
As badbl00d said though a chin is a chin and you'd be a fool to write off connor's chancesGymnastics / Oly Lifting / BJJ / Kickboxing /

Any hold at all on any part of his body and halfthor could just pick mcgregor up and toss him into the next zip code. Mcgregor is smaller than the dumbbells halfthor uses. Hell I can handle 140lb dumbbells pretty easily. I'd pick mcgregor up and throw him into a storm drain headfirst. He'd get plastered. He couldn't generate any leverage on a full grown man.

You're missing one essential factor and that it's clear that the "Mountain" has no striking background, and he isn't going to brace for that shot. He hasn't had the "blinking" trained our of him, so he's more than likely going to close his eyes, and get hit with a shot he doesn't see.

There's a lot more to it than that, although you're not wrong. Big thick skull and a strong short neck are a big help....
However some big guys have glass chins and vice versa. It's a mixture of genetics and experience tbh. The #1 factor in taking a punch is seeing it coming and reacting preemptively by tucking up and rolling with it. Many fighters learn to this timing instinctively but it's very unlikely that someone inexperienced will vs a skilled opponent. So his size doesn't mean he can't be dropped at all. When I first started boxing I got dropped all the time in sparring now my chin is solid af even if I get caught a hummerGymnastics / Oly Lifting / BJJ / Kickboxing /

That's probably true but the bigger question is how does he respond to strikes?
Although opponents were similar weight. Brock Lesnar had problems dealing with strikers and getting hit when he first entered, was a specimen, was juiced, even had training prior. He got stiff and panicked a lot when in fire fights.https://bandcamp.com/singularity7 - Music collection. Recommend albums. Always looking for more.
