Simply have him read the stickies in this section. Particularly Alan Aragons sticky on nutrition timing and how hitting your macros for the day is BY FAR the most important aspect in body composition. When you ingest your macros is hardly as important as simply hitting your numbers. Or you could show him the meals eating now thread and the pics of all the people that post them. Some pretty epic meals in that thread from bros with outstanding bodies. Better yet ask him to post one scientific study backing his theory!

So your friend never eats peanut butter by itself ... never drinks milk by itself ... never eats bread?
All of these have protein and carbs in alone.
Your friend is so retarded, he/she doesn't realise he/she is most likely eating carbs and protein together every single day.
I could go on about the endless reasons your friend is an absolute, clueless idiot but I think the above will suffice for now."Never attempt to train yourself into a caloric deficit. Don't spend hours on the treadmill. Diet comes first, cardio second. The dumbest fat loss strategy ever devised is used by people that wake up early in the morning before going to work to do cardio and follow that up with "recovery shake." Congratulations, you just wasted two hours of your life." Martin Berkhan
