Lightbulb Best Time to Intermittent Fast?

I was thinking of doing a 20/4 intermittent fast where I have a time period to eat of about 4 hours each day. But before I begin doing this I would like to have some questions answered that I can't answer myself with the research I've done.

The first thing is what time of the day should I be doing this in terms of my workout? Should my workout be in the middle of this time, beginning, end, or completely out of my eating period?

What meals should this be around? Breakfast seems to be known as one of the most important meals of the day, but after waking up I can hardly eat 2k+ calories in the following 4 hours.

measly reps for help i guess

Any additional tips on IF would be appreciated as well

Generally people train at the end of the fast, afternoon, then eat at night, but I train at 5am and I eat afternoon/night!!! Don't worry about being catabolic, that's silly... If u haven't done much fasting I would try a shorter fast, 20 hours is quite long and hard to start doing straight up everyday!!! Try 16/8 (Leangains) or even 14-15 hours then just build up, it's still just calories and macros, it's not a magic formula, it's just a time of which u eat

I prefer my food during a full moon.

In all seriousness though, eat when your schedule allows and/or when you're hungry.

Many on IF eat after their workout, but there are no hard and fast rules.

For you maybe. Other people benefit from eating before bed - the effects of ingesting tryptophan for example.

I wake up 6 am every day and work out, then eat from 8 - 4pm, 17/7 is my split since i'm working towards 20/4, this is most convenient for me.

I pretty much do the same thing 20/4, plus after you eat, you have the whole day to be productive since you are not worrying about food!
