Granted, there are still hundreds of reviews yet to come in, but the consensus so far seems to be that it is a good not great conclusion to the trilogy. How disappointing.

I don't watch a movie the same way a critic does. I become absorbed in the movie. Critics critique every minute detail, as they should, which is just not how I partake in my movie going experience.

Interesting read... Apparently some people purposely post negative reviews to get attention to their websites etc. Don't know how true this is though

Rotten Tomatoes "RANKED" jb's movie Never Say Never...that is all.
I dont care if the percentage was horrible, but they ranked it.

84% on Rotten Tomatoes is damn good. Anything those reviewers see as even slightly bad gets ran into the ground and stomped all over; talking sub 20% fresh rating.

Except the average rating on rottentomatoes is 8.7/10, higher than TDK and Begins, higher than any Nolan movie so far, higher than The Avengers even, and if you read the reviews, the consensus is very clear (whether I end up agreeing or not) that it is a great conclusion to the trilogy, with many reviews claiming it is the best of the three.
How is a minority of critics saying it's good but not great, with a larger number saying it's the best of the three, and a far greater amount -the vast majority - saying it's great, a consensus that it's a "good not great conclusion"? 14% disliking it for example, can't possibly lead to that conclusion making sense.
This binary thing of reading rottentomatoes percentage points as the be-all of "consensus" really seems to confuse a lot of people. What rottentomatoes is saying with the tomatometer is that 86% of critics so far liked it, and 14% didn't, it doesn't tell us how highly that 86% are rating it (much higher).
According to this bizarre logic, THIS: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/knuckle_2011/
is better received by critics than There Will Be Blood, Shawshank Redemption, The Avengers, Gladiator, even though the average rating is 6.6/10 and the consensus is that it's pretty good, but not fantastic or close to perfect.Feathered Nether Regions

Most reviewers are pretentious *******s and I can't take reading them. Instead, I go to IMDB and see what fans say about a film I'm interested in. There's lots of people on there who write balanced reviews and comments that are much better than anything a so called professional writes.
I'm sure most of us will greatly enjoy the film.
