A Word of Caution...
Do NOT enter this, if you can't fully commit to the 12 weeks... Do NOT enter this, if you have difficulty taking instruction from someone else... DO enter this, if you radically want to change yourself both physically and mentally... Pay close attention to any and ALL criteria that must be met, when that info is released... This program will take you to your limits both physically and mentally...

This competition will be a HRT style hardcore cut and yours truly will be handling your diet and issuing training guidance along the way. Unlike previous HRT competitions, this one will be cutting only to stage ready and will be judged as such. Things to consider are costs of food, tanning, etc. I'm really looking forward to this one!

hrm. Based on my physical needs for what I do, I don't believe I can get to a bodybuilding competition level physique without compromising my performance. You have a better idea of what I do than most, so I will defer to your judgement - but if you agree with my assessment, I'd better not jump in on this one brother.

It's a 12 week long competition and the last 4 weeks will be the hardest by far. So if your Martial Arts training can take a back seat from about mid October to mid November, you should be fine. Otherwise, I would say pass.

Actually... I know that at one time, they were looking into other applications/uses for HRT... Such as Powerlifting and performance sports...

Is that simply because of the diet at that point?

Will the HRT routine change in any way from the last HRT program? 8 + 6 was what i did. Im so ready to do this! Ive bulked up to a nice 220lbs and my abs are still visible, so if we diet right... ill be a solid 195-198lbs stage time.. wouldnt mind going into the heavy weight class but thats Toms call.

Towards the end the diet gets funky. You will be tired as hell all the time. ZERO endurance. I ate and slept and that was about all the energy i had. lol

lol yeah ; I can't do that.
Tom, I believe I'll pass on this one brother. I'm still going to run HRT again during that time period though, and would value your guidance.

Hang on a sec... let Tom reply. Not everyone experiences what I did. Some people get weaker but have a ton of energy. I get VERY strong but endurance and energy are zapped. We went a little low on carbs last time but this time we will keep them higher. I was 197lb at 5% 3 weeks out from the Muscle Mayhem (the pic is in my avatar) and i was eating 120g carbs a day. seemed to be my sweet spot and i had a ton of energy. so it depends on how low you go.

probably a good thing you put that out there deadman...people that cannot guarantee that they can give it everything they got and more, have no business signing up for this one...should be amazing!

Can't say no to this. But would definitely like as many details as possible so we know what we're in for.
I've never experienced a hardcore cut or show-prep, and I feel like its something that I would definitely like to try under Tom's direction. I wont lie, it's definitely intimidating since I've never done a show so have never gone through all of the prep. Also the idea of getting "too" lean kinda freaks me out.
Thoughts bros?

Oh yes, its gonna get very SRS. Trying to do the HRT while cutting is HARD, but it can be done.

Exactly. I was bulking the entire contest last time and needed constant food, yet still felt totally drained most of time. This kind of training is very taxing on the body and requires a lot of "fuel". The idea of going into caloric deficit during it is almost scary lol

Bro, I dropped 7lbs the first 4 weeks with just HRT and no cardio last time.....It can be done! Plus My cardio didn't get over 45mins 6 days a week (I know that will change this time around) but managed to keep my size. HRT is perfect for prep in my opinion.

This is going to be fun as hell to watch. I picked HRT back up again starting today ( I can't stay away ) so I'll be running it alongside y'all in the non-contestant thread Got 65lbs to cut by the end of January to meet my goal. Lets go!
