Sweating in sauna might help keep brain healthy: Finnish study
"I feel relaxed after sauna, and it's a place where I can have a nice conversation with my friends. The social aspect is the best thing about sauna, when you get older," Hannu Pitkanen, a senior member of the sauna society, told Reuters.
Oh those Finns and their sauna time. Ya gotta admit though it is a great place to relax and start up a conversation with a 1/2 naked pretty lady who just did a workout along side you. Of course the conversation usually ends badly when I ask them if they would like to continue the conversation in a nice cool shower with me. I just don't get it...you would think a nice refreshing shower would be the obvious next date. Wimminz...

Interesting. I actually hate when people try to talk to me in the sauna. I even hate when they talk to eachother. It's like "STFU I'm trying to relax here!" But neither is as annoying as someone who talks on the dang phone in the sauna. And even THAT pales in comparison to the fat guys who can't really handle the sauna, so they are doing tons of hard breathing like they are dying. Please don't have a heart attack on my watch, it's hurting my ability to relax.

There is a guy that uses sauna at my gym always has lots of sweats, cap, shorts, towel around neck. And he does lots of calistenics and stretching in there. I think he watched Vision Quest one too many times. Dude thinks he is losing weight or something in there. I sauna pretty often though, whenever I can make the time after a WO.
