One man has enthusiasm for 30 minutes, another for 30 days, but it is the man who has it for 30 years who makes a success of his life.
My journey from 358lbs started January of 2012.

I've got the 13mm Inzer Forever Lever in October
There's no need to do all that crap to your belt....mine has worked just fine from Day 1. Sure it's stiff. Sure it bruises my hips every time I use it. But if you want to do something where you feel comfortable...go play tiddly winks
I'm breaking mine in by.......
squatting and deadlifting in it.... (GASP )

What's up guys. Today was my 2nd deload workout. I got to finally lift in a belt and definitely felt the difference from no belt vs belted. I need to get use to pushing my abs up against the belt to really reap the benefits of lifting in one. I'm glad I purchased one though.
My workout went great. I was really pleased with my deadlifts. I worked on sinking my hips a little more and more importantly pulling with speed. I definitely accomplished both, especially pulling with speed.
My squats felt great and worked on my speed through the descent and out the hole.
Overall it was a good deload with some extra assistance work thrown in, check it out.

Good session (actually read this one ) ... How you doing the pull ups? Wide grip? Wide and weighted are such a good mass builder for your back man!

subbed! Been looking to purchase a belt as well, pref one with some hooks for weighted chins and maybe eventually weighted pull ups. You're noticing a much more comfortable difference with one huh?

Using just a shoulder width grip. No weighted ones right now i'm just trying to improve on bodyweight ones right now.
You're talking about a dip belt. A powerlifting belt is completely different than a dip belt. I like my belt so far.
I don't see anything wrong with a deload. I'm glad I actually took a break seeing as I have a little cold. I believe what Jim Wendler speaks about in terms of deloads. They're definitely not something a lot of people like but in terms of longevity they're beneficial. My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

a tips on pull ups: do them several times a week. One method to train them is doing the pyramid . start with a set of one, the two and so ti you fail and the climb backward from there.
edit: I'm sure MakeGoBoom have more tips on that too. But the best tool for getting better is persistence..my workout log -> http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=147657213

That pyramid idea is really interesting. I'm going to give that a try as well.

The pyramids sounds like a great approach. How long do you rest approximately between sets?
