I hear you Assassin. I my case the hypertension issues added with load of fatty nutrients enclosed could be disastrous for my artery condition. And we are all different so have a respect for Ant's decision here. The old school calorie and macro count will also work. I wish I could talk Ant to IF a whirl but I guess he has a lot to consider, right Anthony?

Well in a way I already do IF. I don't eat breakfast and start eating in the afternoon most times. I guess i'm just a sucker for all these new and so called "innovative" nutrition protocols. I'm just going to stick to the basics and play around with my carb timing, probably having a large part of them pre and post.

Didn't you stop the prep phase once before?
I think between that and the last 10 days that is a pretty decent litmus test that you do not enjoy the ULC approach.the latest and greatest in training...or whatever.

250x5 is a legit lift. Awesome stuff.
As for CBL, there are a million different nutritional protocols. If this one isn't something you can commit to, then don't do it. Don't struggle through a nutritional program that doesn't work for you mentally. However, like the poster above me (or maybe last page) said, it's important to stick with something and remain consistent. Find something that works and roll with it. Everyone is different. I think counting macros, weighing out food every day, and logging is a piece of cake when for someone else that is far too restrictive. Likewise, I don't have any interest in something like IF because my mind performs poorly in the morning if I don't have some food in me, while others get great results."Making my own luck" towards a 1000 pound total:

Thanks guys. @ Matt you're being ignored
I just can't deal with no carbs man, it's not me and I enjoy having balance meals. I mean sh!t i'm about to get down with some Ego pumpkin spice waffles. I'll be damn if CBL says I can't have that today lol.
I have always counted my macros and weighed my food out and will continue this approach through my 5x5 journey. My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

Definitely something to watch out for. As someone that does heart ultrasounds for a living, I'm familiar with arterial plaque and what it can do.
Can you take fish oil? That alone is one of the best supplements all around for joint, brain, skin, AND heart function. Eating pounds of bacon would be bad, but what about some of the healthier fats like fish oil and EVOO?900/705/633/2125

Yeah, Fish oil ( Omega 3 capsules) is a standard supp for me. And I digest Trombyl ( blood diluting ) and Tavara ( for cholesterol ) every morning. But my best medicin is the food regime and training..

For sure. I'd say check out best belts, I've heard they're the chit. I think I reccomended them before when I first subbed your forum actually.
I have an Inzer 4". It's a great belt but I think I'm going to get the best belts 3" for DLing, because my 4 digs into me pretty bad."They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Yeah basically. Add 5 lbs to the top set instead of increasing by 2.5%. However, I just realized that 2.5% is about 5 lbs for your squats and bench right now anyway, so it won't make a difference to switch.
Also, it may be premature to talk about changing it up. You haven't failed any reps yet. Maybe you'll nail Friday's 1x3 heavy set and go on to crush the same weight for 1x5 on Monday. We can talk about what to do if you start missing reps. For now, get pumped up for your Wednesday and that 3-rep set on Friday## chillin at home crew

I've been stressing like hell on the belt lately. I bought an Inzer Forever Lever but it's stiff as hell (10 mm). I'm actually sending it back tomorrow for the large (medium didn't give me nearly enough space to grow into the belt). How much easier was it to wear once you broke it in? Mine was pretty brutal out of the box. It made my squats last week a back and breathing exercise, haha.
Also Ant, in for PRs."Making my own luck" towards a 1000 pound total:
