    Some Whey Protein can make you fat? Is it true?

    I was reading an article that a research found than soy lecithin, an ingredient found in most whey proteins, makes you fatter. It is designed to make protein taste smoother, but the research found that it can cause excess estrogen in your body. It also shows that it can lead to breast tissue. I definitely do not want any of that. Don't know if its true or not. :/

    Soy has been shown to mess with estrogen levels but not enough for you to be even slightly concerned.

    Let's PRETEND that at large enough intakes the isoflavones in soy lecithin will make you fat. The isoflavone content of soy lecithin is about 10 mg per 100 grams. Now, there is probably < 2-3 grams of lecithin in whey products. You can do the math. There isn't enough in there to do a ****ing thing.

    I've just started Wheat Belly and Dr Davis explains in some body types can have an adverse reaction to whey protein...causing insulin levels to triple, hence no weight lose or even causing weight gain. I gained 4 pounds the first week, cut out the whey protein in my smoothie and the weight is now melting off. Just a thought?

    no offense, but if taking whey protein could cause insulin levels to triple, I think it would probably be common knowledge by now as it would surely be taken advantage of by any person who would react that way.
