Crossfit Games
Just give me all the bacon and eggs you have. Wait, wait. I'm worried what you just heard was, "Give me a lot of bacon and eggs." What I said was, "Give me all the bacon and eggs you have"

I might watch it. I'm not a fan of Crossfit, but obviously the top level Crossfit athletes are phenomenal athletes. If Crossfit was just about those top level athletes, I'd have more respect for it. It's the cult following that it gets where every average Joe and Jennifer try to compete with the same methods despite not knowing what the hell they're doing.
P.S. Just Google'd Kristin Clever and uhh.... Wtf? I'm going to have to guess no, it's not a tested event. No need to over-think this lifting weights business.

I'm going to be following them. I do CrossFit myself, especially since it greatly relates to my line of work. But I never forget the basics and continuously do strength workouts (Wendel's 5-3-1 Type). Either way it's fun to watch those guys compete.
lol. I'm very suspicious of a lot of those female athletes as well.Dirty Leb Crew

Awesome, I mix some crossfit style workouts (kettlebells) with standard lifting. Good mix and hell of a cardio workout.
The games usually motivate me too.
x3 on some of the females, but especially Clever.Just give me all the bacon and eggs you have. Wait, wait. I'm worried what you just heard was, "Give me a lot of bacon and eggs." What I said was, "Give me all the bacon and eggs you have"

Actually, there are a few local guys I know in my hometown who became highly certified in Crossfit and are whipping people into great shape. I myself would rather do workout programs\lift weights. But these kids in my hometown are getting people in great condition. It' s pretty inspiring to see it done right.

What's funny about the crossfit games is this:
1.) None of the top competitors actually follow the WOD schedule on the main website
2.) Most of the male competitors (and a good portion of the females) developed as athletes in other sports before switching over to something easier (ie Crossfit)
3.) Denial that Clever and some other women are juicing

You won't get anywhere if you follow the main-site. It's very narrow. I think any intelligent athlete would realize this after a while.
Actually now that I think about it not many people are that intelligent since I'm one of the biggest guys at my box and I'm 5'8'' at 175lbs.Dirty Leb Crew

Not surprised since you're living in Boston. I was look at boxes in NY and it's $225 for an unlimited membership. What sucks is that if everything goes according to plan I'll be living in either Boston or NY next year, so I don't know if I'll be able to afford it either.
For now in TN I pay $65/month for 4 days a week. Gives me my fix. The rest of the time I do strength workouts and run.Dirty Leb Crew

I'm watching on espn3 and I can't believe that reebok didn't spend a bit more money for a sideline reporter who has actually interviewed someone before. This guy has no idea what he is doing lol
