    Front Squats + Deadlifts

Should I do front squats and deadlifts on the same day?! Training for hockey. Schedule looks something like.........

    Monday: PULL
    Deadlift + accessory lifts

    Tuesday: Speed/Plyo
    Sprints + Jumps + prowler

    Wednesday: PUSH
    Bench/Dips + accessory lifts

    Thursday: Speed/Plyo
    Prowler + Jumps

    Friday: LEGS
    Squat + accessory lifts

    Saturday: Conditoning

Sunday: Rest/Shoot pucks/play tennis and what not.

I was thinking about adding front squats as I see many people do it and hear about all the benefits it has. Was thinking deadlift 5x5 on Monday, then 5x3 on front squats..
    What do you guys think?!

DL + Front Squat is a good combo. Also, since skating is a big part of what you're doing, consider some unilateral work to incorporate strength within difficult balance parameters. Bulgarian Split Squats are a great choice -- similar to Front Squats in that they're both more quad-centric than other squat forms. I've alternated this yr, DL + FS, and DL + BSS ... to good effect.

I don't see why not. I did so today. I do an upper lower split and squat on both lower days.

I do bulgarian split squats on my squat day also, right after.
