laylat al qadr could be any of the last 10 nights of ramadan
to those of u who don't know how to, the minimum is 3 rakaat (الشفع و الوتر) not really sure about the name in english
first raka'a is Al-Faatiha and then Al-A'laa
second raka'a is Al-Faatiha and then Al-Kaafiroon then tashahod and salam
third raka'a is Al-Faatiha and then Al Ikhlas then tashahod and salam again

I can't believe it's nearly over . Less than a week left!
I honestly thought this would be a difficult month since the fasts were really long (UK), however, thanks to Allah, it's actually been one of the most easiest ramadan's for me. I just pray that i can continue my prayers after the month is over.

todays day was going awesome prayed qiyam al lail and came home was really happy but then i feel like i just ruined my whole day...
i have alot of issues with my parents ...they really mentally abuse me 24/7 ...i try to keep my kool and not back answer or shout ...today i just snapped i screamt back said some really bad stuff ..broke stuff ....i feel so bad ...even though i apologized ..i know this will happen again.....what really gets to me is that even after knowing that it says in Islam no matter how bad your parents are treat them with care and respect..i still retaliate..up of that its ramadan which just made me feel worse ....i always think i might have to face this same **** with my kids....i need some way or to do something so whatever they say dusnt effect me....Last edited by determined22; 08-11-2012 at 05:23 PM.

bros mind is fukced!
been eating 2200 or so cals per day ( i track macros)
i gained bloody weight, i normally have to eat a ton more to gain weight lol, i also got weaker except for deadlfits
ohp gone down to 50x6 from 60x6, squat is around 5kg weaker bench is around 10kg weaker.
starting to doubt calories in vs calories out etc etc ;(
for ramadan i was having 2 meals+ 2-3 shakes per day
shakes had 300ml milk 50g oats 30g whey

Brahs, I finally found out why I haven't been losing as much weight (may apply to you).
So you know those dates right? The ones with seeds? Apparently, I checked the macros on them today.
Per date is 70 calories and 14g of carbs, and I eat a lot of those for iftari and to snack on before suhoor.
I always thought they were 20 calories, but they're 3.5x more. No wonder. Fuuuuuuuuuukkkkk.
Also, I'm thinking about changing my upper/lower split after Ramadan because I hit chest and shoulders on the same day on upper. Thoughts?

Let's stop counting down the days of Ramadan and start making the days count! Insh we can all do this
dowhat the sunnah tells us to do. Go do wudu when u feel urself getting angry, then sit, then lay down if u need to. If this doesn't work, go out for a walk or run... that way ull burn calories and looked like a shredded beast at the same time. Insh thingsll get better. Staying patient w the ones in our family is THE hardest thing, but is also considered the most important.
Today for iftaar I had ALL FRIED FOODS. damn it was so delicious, alham. But I felt like crap all night. Didn't even have protein after my wkout cuz i went out to a friends. Then I went to masjid and left at 430am. Alham another great night. I love the calm connectdness to Allah on these nights. Feels awesome. hmm meditate?...sounds like a plan, i will admit im taking a week off of lifting for this one week only due to school/ramadan, i break fast at 8:30 yet i have to be in bed by 11:30...so its hard to lift
yeah thats what im saying, i think it has alot to due with me just not being very hydrated, because usually when youre not hydrated your lifts go down a good 10-15%, and it isnt like my pre-workout meal is bad, i usually have 2 scoops of whey mixed with ALOOOOOT of water, and a pretty hefty carb source (waffles/banana/peanut butter all mixed up) and i have this meal about 1 hour before my lifting, so i dunno
yeah man i can pack food down, thanks haha, yes fuul is amazing, and the way my mom makes it is AMAZING!!, she does put vinegar, olive oil, diced onions, and a few other things, mmmm, its an amazing source of protein/carbsBest lifts: 165kg Squat / 142kg Bench / 220kg Deadlift / @ 83kg Weight Class
Current BW: 176.9
Goal BW: Around 166-168

Well I've somehow put on 300 grams I think, this month. Must be eating at around 9 then going to taraweeh. Then going to sleep, or staying up. Lack of exercise has done it I can't afford to floor myself like I did at the start
I enjoyed this month though
I've been shying away from fried food, though I have had some fruits.
