This may just have been a no win situation. It is actually okay to get a bit attached and be nice to your girlfriend LOL at misc. This particular situation may have been her still being in love with the ex. When a girl is still "in love" with someone else it is impossible to win her over or at least virtually impossible. She is stuck on him and needs to do whatever for herself regarding him.

You need to just chalk this up to a learning experience. Dating is about comparing and contrasting. You now have a really good example of what you like to compare other new girls to. You know alot of qualities that will make a girl wifey to you. Just look for one thats not still hung up on OBoi.
