I've been focusing on loosing weight through proper dieting and weight lifting for the better part of 3 months or so. Everything seems to be going well. I am loosing weight (20lbs since the middle of May, 175-155lbs 5ft 7ish), looking leaner, and going strong in the gym (lifting 4 days a week and all my lifts are going up steadily). My only problem is this, I think I may be eating way too little calories. I'm only getting in between 1000-1200 a day, although I am still getting my bodyweight in protein. I'm still loosing the weight and it doesn't look like I have much muscle to lose, but I've received messages of concern from several people (all much more experienced then me), so I do want to try to change what I've been doing. I would like to know for future reference though (learn from past mistakes), how are you guys able to tell that you are eating way too little calories? Is it just based on a math formula, or is there a certain feeling that comes from your low calorie consumption? Thanks!!!
Also, attached pics of when I started vs now. Am I loosing a lot of muscle??

1000 calories seems a bit low... You are probably losing a lot of muscle too. I would work on some proper weight training at this point and bulk, you've cut enough IMO, for now.

Yeah it's definitely too low. I'm definitely weight training, 4 days a week. All my lifts are going up steadily. I want to hit 145lbs (it's been my goal all summer and it'll be the first time I actually accomplish one of my fitness goals, so it's really important to me), so once that goal is reached, I'm gonna do a nice slow bulk until my lifts are where I want them to be. See where I'm at and probably cut from there.
