Or stop been a retard and work it out for yourself - figure out what the speed range is per gear (not hard on a straight empty road) and then work out what gear you should be in when driving in normal conditions taking into account any hills etc (eg I can do 40 in 5th in mine cruising down a flat road but if I hit a decent incline I've got to change to 3rd or 4th to maintain the same speed). Just get to know your car and get the feeling when your engine needs to move up or down a gear so it's not stressed.

    /haveItriedtooverexplainthis
^This, and I'll add to keep an eye on your RPMs. If you start hearing your engine overworking, and the RPMs are getting into the 5,000+ you need to go a gear higher in the type of vehicle you are describing.

Now to the other things, guarenteed you don't even know what kind of shifter was in that car and secondly I know for a fact I can drive better than you. Not true, at least in Belgium. You can get your drivers license on an automatic car here, but then you are not allowed to drive manual.

Autos are for people who see cars as nothing more than a white good like a dishwasher, washing machine or fridge. Just a means of getting from A to B.

cars are for pussies, only reason I have one is cause I can't ride a motorcycle in the winter.

Wanna see if you really have a pair? follow me into turn 1 at BIR with an apex speed of 160+ mph and see if you can keep up...

edit: All of my vehicles besides one has been a manual. Nothing against auto's, I just like to have control over my vehicle.
    Good things take time.

No thanks, i'd rather not allow some 60 year old asian woman to clip the back of my bike and die or have serious injury/road rash.
Being on a bike has nothing to do with how well you can ride, it's about how OTHER people can drive.. and they can't drive good.
The two people who had bikes both died. (completely srs) and everytime i hear about people dying on the road it's when they're always on a bike and someone crashes into me whilst speeding or being drunk etc. you crazy dawg.

Yeah you really got to be careful, and your dead on. It's not about you, but the kid texting on his phone, or the mom folding clothes while driving, or anyone talking on a cell phone and driving, eating food and driving, shaving while driving. It's crazy how much stupid sh!t I see people doing while driving. when you're in your car you need to focus on driving, not your phone, not the radio, not folding clothes etc.

Let's be reall for a second, only people with some sort of disability that disallows them to use 3 pedals drive automatics here.

Imagine telling a girl you drove a automatic in Europa, hahahaha she would think you are borderline retarded or something.

No matter how many of these thrads are made, I am always mind blown at Americans making a big deal out of/not being able to drive manual.

Also my English jimmies simmer ever so timidly when it is referred to as "stick" as opposed to manual.

Wish I knew how to drive a manual. Had to pass on a $12,000 2001 S4 B5 chassis fully loaded because it was a manual. Felt bad man...
Problem is no one owns them so its hard to find someone to learn on.

I want to learn...next car I am looking at is a manual 135i.

    First two cars were sticks.

Current car is auto. No phucks given either way, but autos are way more pleasant to drive in traffic than sticks.

brb parallel parking in tight spaces(veryyyyyyyyy tight), brb 1st gear and slight gas brb reverse and slight gas brb stall and bump the car in front of me(lol never drove a manual in city btw)
bro why are you shifting into neutral all the time? Your left foot isn't doing **** anyway, might as well put it to use on the clutch. brb even quad muscles. Also parallel parking in an automatic you have to shift between forward and reverse too..
