Feeling a little discouraged after cutting for so long, so I figure posting my progress will help re-motivate me and push me to finish getting rid of these last 10 pounds or so.
So yeah, here goes. One year of extremely hard work. Last year around this time I was almost 300 lbs (My heaviest was around 290). This year, before my cheat day on Saturday, I weighed in at 169.4.
Didn't do anything crazy, just counted calories and hit the gym. That's about it. As far as supplements go, I took creatine for a while, but I'm too forgetful, and end up forgetting to take it most days. The past month or two I started taking an EC stack, and damn it's amazing as far as appetite suppressants go. I wish I had found out about it sooner. I don't take it too often too, because even though it keeps me from feeling hungry, I feel like **** when I take it.
When I first started cutting, my disillusioned goal was that I would have a six pack after one year. I'm nowhere close to one, and in that aspect, I've fallen short of my original goals, but considering I set the bar pretty high, I'm not too disappointed. I think I did alright for a year, no?

Start Weight (July 2011) = 261.5
Current Weight (December 2011) = 195.8
Goal Weight (Soon) = ~165

You did awesome man. When you say nowhere near a six pack I'm not sure what your definition of nowhere near is. I would say from the after picture that you are pretty close to your abs starting to show up. Just keep at it a little while longer and you'll get there! I'm surprised your skin stayed so tight for losing so much so quick! That's an awesome bonus for you! Keep up the good work!

Excellent Job man! Just remember that everything we do when trying to reach a fitness goal is important and relative to the overall goal. You are a hell of a lot closer then you were last year to a six pack, so just keep going. If you do over the next 12 months what you did over the previous 12, you are going to have the abs of your life! Nice job though, very inspirational for sure!

Amazing work, op.
I too am approaching the 100 lbs lost milestone in the next few weeks. I am definetley feeling drained from cutting for so long. I plan on starting to eat at maintenance on sept 1 thru the winter regardless of how i look or how much i weigh. I need a break from cutting and this is a marathon right?
Anyway, that whole rant was just to say that if you are tired of cutting, there is no reason to kill yourself continuing on. Enjoy some maintenance cals or even bulking cals for a few months and then cut some more. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I am 100% convinced that loose skin is a dice roll mostly independent of the methods one uses to lose a lot of fat. Some people seem to get it and some people don't. Most fall somewhere in between.
Anyway fantastic job OP. You've done something that the vast majority fail at.Don't Drink, Don't Smoke, Watdo you do?
