Help! I don't get sore the next day after lifting weights

but when I'm lifting I'm pretty much dying, my muscles feel all tight after the workout but the next day I don't feel nothing. Do I need to do more sets?

Edit: People say you need to feel sore the next day to know that your muscle is rebuilding or something like that.

NO this is a common misconception by newbies like I used to think this. U should be doing fullbody workouts 3x a week look up Starting Strength in. The stickies. U might be a little sore the next day on this routine sometimes but u won't be very sore.

You don't need to get sore, you'll grow nonetheless.

    Why should you feel sore?
    No soreness ≠ not growing.
    More pain, more gain.

Try dropping the weights on your foot, then you'll feel sore.

You dont need to get sore to get stronger or bigger necessarily but if you WANT to get sore then focus on the eccentric portions of your lift (going down slow on the Squat or touching the weight down slow on a Deadlift). Focusing on the eccentric portions of lifts also builds strength.

Agreed, them eccentrics get u sore as balls, but yea soreness ain't ****... In my opinion people who get sore haven't been lifting long enough so they bodies still adjusting hence the soreness. Once u lift a while, soreness don't come by u often
