From my readings of WW2. I think it had more to do with Jewish people being communist agitators(we still see this today, look at the religion & politics forum) and they were a major liability, it just so happened many Jews were communist so they had to go to camps.

The sad part is that there's many folks out there who sympathize with the Jews and their stories on this issue. They dont think deeply on it.
