LP - congrats on the job - salary isnt that big of a deal when you're starting out, get your foot in, get a year or so of experience and look for a better job after that...

I never liked La Nuit until I wore it tonight. I think it takes time to get use to it. Now they are all amazing Libre, L'homme and La Nuit.

Dude, its a great salary especially for a recent college grad, and you don't have to justify it to anyone! People may be commenting because of the perceived high cost of living in California. Its more than enough to ball especially as a single person with little expenses. You will probably take home a lot more than people who earn more but have a ton of student loans and other obligations.

Try L'homme Libre, its fresher than both and safer I guess. Its the Blue Bottle fading to clear with clear cap.

I'm a mailman. Worked as an electrician for a year after I dropped out of college which I really enjoyed, but had to leave the job I was at. Tried getting into the electrical union and ended up picking up the USPS job in the meantime while I was waiting. Got too comfortable with it and still doing it.

I never understood that about the misc. IRL my friends and family think I'm ballin' outta control. Which obviously isn't the case. But here its like if you aren't making 100k+ then what are you doing with your life. Like I said, I think you're doing fine. I brought in around the same last year and I was never hurting. All of my younger coworkers were buying houses with that salary, made me feel like chit.

Ya regular delivery. I've been doing it for 6 years but still don't have my own route though so every once in a while I'll do the parcel/relay trucks.

Ya the job isn't bad. On my own all day and just talk to people on the route. Listen to podcasts the whole time. Summers really suck but that's about it. Benefits are good for these days. Just don't know what will actually be there by the time I retire if I do considering the financial troubles of the USPS.

55k is a solid, solid starting salary for right out of college. i would venture to say youre easily in the top 25% of college grads in terms of salary. srs. i'm a new district attorney and i make less than you.
