What do you consider your max bench

do you consider yor max bench your last set during a chest workout or do you consider your max bench the totaly amount of weight you can do for 1 rep on a non chest day a few days after your chest workout?

example durin gmy chest workout I do 245 4 times at my max but then on friday when i do arms i do one set of chest and i throw up 260 twice.. so what would my max be?

well typically you use a 1 rep max to determine your max. That can count as anytime. If your able to exercise with such a weight for maximum reps though every workout though its really more of a training maximum than a competition maximum (ask some O-Lifters and PLers about this and they'll tell you there is a big difference).

Neither one, your max is your one rep maximum. It is better to do this when you've had a couple days off. You aren't always your strongest when you're training hard

Usually 1 rep is literally just hitting 1 rep, mines about 132.5kg on a good day and that's me almost not making it back up...that's one rep

On a day where you've fully rested your body, 1RM = 1 rep max.. after a few warmup sets you should try the maximum weight you can push once and have a hard time doing it.
