I know most of us look forward to them, whether it's every few days, once a week, or whatever. I've been trying to really stick to once a week or one tiny portion a day for my baby. Well, I've had my eye on one particular brand of Habanero chips and have resisted them for weeks. Today, I gave in.
And they were TERRIBLE. Sugary, not spicy, just puke.
I know this is such a lame problem, but don't you get bummed when you go out for your treat meal and it just sucks!??!?!?! Aughhhh!

So many "foods" disappoint me now! I used to drink coke all day long. Every so often, I'll think I really want a coke, get one and hate it. I still like it with popcorn, pizza or burgers (although I've gotten to where I really prefer beer with pizza and burgers...it seems I want carbonation, not sweet), but on it's own it's just gross. I'm very picky about pizza and burgers now, too. And those little processed cakes I used to love (twinkies, zingers, etc) just don't have the same allure. God. I used to have coke with those, too. LOL
I hate feeling like I "wasted" a cheat as I learn what's worth it and what's not, but at the same time it's pretty cool. I'd rather save my money and splurge at an expensive restaurant once a month than have a weekly dose of total crap I no longer enjoy that much.
There are some things that never disappoint, though. I still love ice cream and fruity pebbles!

Lol, yep! I've had a few cheat foods that I had been away from for months, went back and they tasted awful, too sweet, too greasy, etc. There's a lot of fast food that I can't even stand anymore - mcdonalds type places mainly. I'm grossed out just by walking in there anymore. A good pizza loaded up with all the meat toppings, or Chinese food, never gets old for me.

This is the main reason I don't have "cheats" anymore. I guess by dieting standards I now just have cheats everyday. For example last night I had pizza, tonight I am having chicken fingers and fries. I had a piece of dark chocolate this morning. The difference is that whatever I eat, is counted as part of my daily calories. And anything that once would have been considered "junk food" or not a "clean food," I just try to make it myself so that I can make a more "healthy" version, covering as many as the macro requirements as possible. You can even make homeade chips! Difficult, but worth the effort.

I was craving something sweet the other day. Found these chexmix muddybuddy things at the store. So good. I ate about a cup of those bad boys, would have eaten the entire thing. Wish they would have dissapointed so I wouldn't want them again. I had to force the bag on somebody else or I would have eaten the entire thing at once.

I don't think we have anything like that in Abilene...what is this place called? Do they make stuff kind of like moose munch? That stuff is awesome! We plan to live in the Dallas area soon (2 year pit-stop in SC, though) so hopefully it will still be around. I LOVE stuff like that, especially when it's fresh (warm caramel corn is OMG!).
I used to love cherry limeade slushies from sonic, but I haven't had one in ages...I've learned that when you want ice cream, that is NOT the place to get it.

I was 6 months into my diet, I had not cheated once. I hit the 50 lb down mark and I decided to give in. I went to Mcdonalds was all excited to get a Big Mac. Went through the drive thru and ordered one with out pickles. Started to drive home got into the bag and I was so excited to take that first bite and when I did.... pickles that all I could taste. Tool off the top bun that thing had 10 pickles on it..... no special sauce, no cheese, just nasty pickles. I was soooo mad lol!!! I threw it out the window. No way I was going to waste all my calories on that. I was so disappointed
