Headed to kill a pig soon. My little 100 lb black lady roommate wants to do the shooting and/or throat slitting. Vids will be taken, lulz will be had.
Still not sure wtf we are going to do with the skin/hair. Unfortunately I think we are short on time, supplies, and motivation so the we are just going to skin it.

So I've decided to do a wrapped meet in Jan and I've got a pair of Rhinos and a pair of Grippers on the way so I can try them both out and see which ones I like best. Any advice on how to implement the wraps since I've never worn them before? I'm thinking about warming up in sleeves then adding wraps for my work sets and alternating weeks with the two different types until I develop a preference. Also, I'm thinking about running the nine week Russian peaking program from the stickies....anyone have any experience with this?

Shouldn't take to long to get used to them and find out which one you like better. Just throw them on for the working sets. Will be different at first but just force your knees out and squat like normal.
I do just a spiral straight up but there are many ways to do it.

I used wraps on my top sets but never for more than 3 reps. If you wrap them correctly, you wont be able to stand squatting 3 reps in them. I always found it harder to get sat back properly when wearing wraps and my knees liked to collapse so enjoy those things. I have found that I like springier wraps instead of the cast ones that geared guys wear.

Thanks
Since the Russian program starts with an increase in volume for 4 weeks before tapering off with increasing intensity, do you think I should skip wraps for the first part if it, or keep a loose wrap until the final three weeks when I begin hitting triples?615/385/635

I listed that I don't have cambered bar, SSB, or chains at school. So all I have is band/reverse band, GM, and varying box heights. I guess I'll work my way up to using GM as a ME right now its an accessory since I haven't been doing it for very long and have been trying to drill good form in with more volume.

Lots of things you can do with just a regular bar, straight weight, and a rack. I had to deal with that in a commercial gym for a couple years. Squat, GM, and deadlift variations are all you need. Low/parallel/high box, squats, GM, Arch back GM, GM squats, Squat Mornings, bottom up squats with pins, gm from pins, deadlifts, bellow knee pulls, knee pulls, above knee pulls, deficit deadlifts... etc.

Most feds allow risers up to a certain height to be placed under the feet for the bench if requested.
edit: USPF rulebook
3.4. To achieve firm footing the lifter may use flat surfaced plates or blocks not exceeding 30 cm in
total height, to build up the surface of the platform. Whichever method is chosen, the entire foot
must be flat on the surface. If blocks are used, they shall not exceed 45 cm x 45 cm.My Training Journal: http://tinyurl.com/jasons-journal

Ken is a cool Guy (the owner) and lets me train there for free, as a thank you I list him as my sponcer and his logo is on my singlet. Also it was ran out of his 1100sf garage for a long time.
No more MMA and everything is moved around. Old bench monkey and a few guys have been kicked out.
I would use the grippers for the first part and switch to the rhinos for the heavy weights, I do this with a old 2m pair of apt's and rhinos. You wil be able to handle a bit more weight so if you feel you can bump the squats up do it.

Beer tasting with the best man for my wedding. We started with a sampler case of Sam Adams last night and are now on the Troegs Anthology case. Brb best weekend ever.
Any recommendations for mixed cases while we're at it? Can't be micros or too expensive, and the general pop of guests won't appreciate Guinness.445/365/525

I cannot honestly answer because I have not used the grippers. The Rhinos are the strongest wraps I have ever used and it was just MHO. Try them both and see what you like best. I just feel if you are going to compete in wraps you need to use them in trainning just like anything else.

You are gonna need to play until you get what you like. csday and myself have the direct opposite feeling in regards to knee wraps. It varies alot from person to person.
I am thinking once it gets freezing balls cold outside, I will make a trip to CR to train then get epically wasted with Ken and the boys.★cVc★
