I had to go to the very commercial-like base gym without any platforms today for deads since all the other ones were closed because the MWR people are a bunch of lazy fukks that are taking this whole 4th of July week as a holiday. Warmed up to 315 and was then told by the MWR staff I can't do deadlifts on the matted weight room floor with rubber coated hex plates. Nearly got myself kicked out in the ensuing argument. So, I wound up working up to 585 for a double on 5" pin pulls. Hope I bent the fukk out of their cheap bar. Fukk most of the *******y and kunty gym staff at Ft Carson gyms. All these lazy fukks do is sit around at the front desk and let stupid **** slide all day yet, they chew my ass out for 1) using the speaker system when I'm the only person lifting in the room (the nice gym with kilo weights) 2) walking through the wrong entrance because the doors are propped open (twice) 3) Me and a buddy not wiping down our ellipticals after warming up on it for 5 minutes without touching the handles (chewed out in Spanish no less. Apparently my white friend looks Mexican) 4) deadlifts with rubberized weights on a padded floor 5) trap bar deads on the rubber floor with rubber weights when there is a sign on the platform that says no trap bar deadlifts on the platform.
tl;dr: Ft Carson gym staff can sit on it and rotate. Probably starting a fight next time they tell me something stupid.

Man I want to eat something solid so bad right now. This sucks. Sounds like I'm not supposed to train for at least 7 days or eat anything solid for at least three.

My training needs some focus and a friend of mine was going to the USPA meet at Wild Iron Gym in October. I think that's my goal right now, and to take Hennis Washington's 390 @ 132 raw squat record.

In after chitty gyms are chitty.
I dunno about Hong Kong but in generalities I would look for powerlifters, ask where they train and hit em up. Looks like the Hong Kong Weightlifting and Powerlifting website If you are staying with family/friends you would have asked them in advance to do the leg work for you buddy.

Well I used to lift max single on a lift either 3x a week up to everyday depending on the lift, it was just a training max so it was usually 90% of my real max, then would do backdown sets with 10% less. Low volume high frequency. Now I lift every other day, bench, then squat, then bench, then deads, I do more rep work. Now its medium volume, low frequency.
best lifts
Squat 410
bench 315
press 185x5
Deadlift 420
clean 275

Drove up and watched Thom2355 and Iceman1800 compete in a strongman competition today. Its the first one Ive ever been to, and it was actually quite entertaining. They moved through it fairly quickly, and the events were pretty heavy/difficult. Although it was fun to watch, none of the events had anything to do with bench pressing, so Im not interested in competing. (srs)
Good job to both you guys.570/500/715 - Best Gym Lifts @ 225 raw

Judged my first powerlifting meet today. I kept the clicker on RED and went to sleep.
jk Only gave like three reds the whole day. One thing good about crossfitians is that they squat deep as chit so make judging really easy.***Georgia Crew***
