Ya, because im sure every fighter is prepared for when they slip....Same thing happened to Tito awhile back, slipped took a knee to the chest and it was game over. Silva took more damage than Sonnen did, he landed a few big shots. Silva had the knee, those other strikes that stopped the fight were the baby slaps if there were any

The very first thing he did was try to exchange with him. Do you really think he didn't expect him to come right out and try to get a take down. Silva knew he wasn't going to get hurt. Werdum did the same thing against Fedor.

according to Scott Jorgensen, that knee by Silva was illegal, the thigh made clear contact with Sonnens head, so its apparently illegal, Im not an expert on the rules, so I went to him for the answer.

I just saw the clip again and it did hit his face first. Just because it dropped down to his chest afterwards does not mean it hit his chest.

Ya, I actually didnt notice it either, but Scotts a pro fighter lol he knows what to look for....So I guess now the question is, is the ruling set in stone, or can white/judges review the tape, and change the outcome?

If I was Sonnen I would be freaking out on Dana to do something about it

Doesn't matter if the knee landed or not. Chael lost the fight more by doing something he shouldn't have done.

But at the same time, let's not pretend that Anderson wasn't holding the shorts and attempting to grease.

In fact Anderson's been wiping the vaseline off his face and applying it to his torso for several fights now. I'm surprising nobody caught on earlier. Even if it didn't make a bit of difference, people still jump all over GSP for the same thing.

he proved he was better by beating Silva the majority of the fight, he did it the 1st fight, and in this one. He lost both because he got careless at the end of the first fight, and this one because he slipped. This one is more embarrassing imo.

thats not how i recall either fight, i recall in the 1st fight that silva was careless for 24 minutes then got his A game on,

Refusing to give Chael credit for what? One Takedown? We all know what Chael's gameplan is (it never changes) but if he can't do anything with the takedown but get tied up by Silva... I don't see what credit should go his way. Silva is the better fighter, it's that simple... Chael knows it.
