Hey guys,
So I dropped down to ~148. I'm still around like 15-16% body fat though...I want to keep cutting though. I read somewhere that the body will keep onto a certain amount of fat..is that true? Does that mean it's going to be very tough for me to cut down? I really don't want to start bulking until I can see my abs (without flexing) and all the fat from my chest is gone :P

if you have never bulked, you are going to have to get to like 5% bf to see your tiny abs unflexed....just a word of caution. Get down to 12%, bulk for half a year, cut and repeat. Cutting is only as tough as you make it, or give into eating.
There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?

I can only see them when I flex them. And only like the top 2 haha. When I'm not flexing I can see a very faint outline :P
I'm 5'10"
Oh..well I'm primarily concerned about my chest. I just want to finally get rid of the fat there...so I guess when that's done I will start bulking. But I can kinda see my abs currently..so hopefully I won't have to get down that low haha.Last edited by jak131; 07-02-2012 at 12:57 PM.

at your height you don't really need to cut anymore...you're light enough as is and likely not carrying a lot of muscle. cutting down to seeing your abs unflexed is the 'general' recommendation from most, but that's also geared towards people who at least have a decent base. i have yet to cut down to unflexed 6 pack goodness, i don't have the mass yet for it (maybe after this bulk? who knows). bulk til your waist is as big as you can stand, cut back down until you're as light as you can handle while retaining decent strength, rinse and repeat. that's my general guideline at the moment, but like i said i'm still working on building my foundation.

dont sweat BF% at that build. id work MAYBE cutting a few more lbs then id work on ur base. pers id start building that base asap, pick a good starter program and eat about maint of which would prob give ya some nice gains.
Used to be fat, now just fat with a lot of muscle.
