age - this is a problem! I am 40. I noticed that slowly progressing. Less testosterone and body produces less melatonin and growth tgormona etc. Often do not sleep well. Became rapidly gaining fat. But in any case- sport is good! Bodybuilding reduces the aging! (sorry for the mistakes in English- ш from russia)

Keep it up, all!! Great job by all!
Weekly training highlights from last Wednesday, Saturday and this morning.. Also set some volume PRs.
I know there are some members out there who are concerned about getting stuck at the bottom of a max back squat. This is a valid concern. So I included a BONUS FOOTAGE on how to bail from this morning’s training, when I tried what I call the ‘Christmas Tree Squat,’ which is basically where the bar is loaded with all the colors, like Christmas. There really is nothing to fear, fellas. So just place the bar back there and squat with all your might. And when in doubt, simply give the bar to mean ol gravity and fight another day!!
There was a guy behind me who was curling while standing on a BOSU ball, serious.. I had to reassure him I was okay.
I also adjusted my jerk blocks so they don’t jump out anymore.
This above all..
To thine ownself be true..
And it must follow, as the night the day..
Thou can'st not then be false to any man..

Good lifts! Also watched your bail vid in the other thread. One of these days I need to go through all my vid footage and do a "blooper" montage with bails, fails, swears, head-bonks, pin-hitting, and other various gym stupidity caught on cam, lol.
Had a meet this Saturday, and had a great time! Fat, so wilks not all that better, though I added 60 pounds to my total from last year's Nov meet, got meet PRs in all three lifts, and all-time PRs in bench and DL. Which for me is amazing as my stupid left shoulder has been my nemesis for eons and it has been over 2 DANG YEARS since it went out (comp bench PR at that time 140) and I *finally* can not only say I make post-injury PRs, but true PRs again Getting fat worth it, I think I've been hamstringing myself too much by trying to stay as a 148er for far too long. Though I probably overdid the bulk by a tad, lol.
Kinda bummed about that 340 squat cause it felt way easier than I anticipated (never tried 340 before), but I was all flustered as the mono guy pulled the pins quick and I pitched forward, and after catching my balance didn't set my feet right to hit depth .
Gym PRs:
SQ: 360 x 1, BP: 165 x 1, DL: 330 x 2, OHP: 110 x 2
Best meet lifts (raw w/wraps):
SQ: 365, BP: 155, DL: 350, Elite total of 870 @165
Closest thing to a log, but better cause it's vids! = www.youtube.com/user/birdiefu

Thanks man. While I would never say it is 'easy', it is nice that 495 is feeling very comfortable. Just not being in pain makes a big difference. I can just 'relax' sit back and enjoy the movement. A totally different feel all together. It now feels like 405 used to.
For me I have found progress depends on making things that are heavy feel light. At heavier weights, it is almost as big a challenge overcoming the mind. When things feel 'light' the confidence that comes from that spill over and the strength follows.
Hoping to set a new PR soon!RAW lifts

ID, in a thread I started the other week to share my experiences and wish fellow members the very best with their training titled "Blasphemy: I quit", you said I was "fat. period" in a reply to me. To date I've lost 23lb since and am feeling better, so weighing 198 at present and posses the same size and condition as yourself judging from your footage. You said having 29" thighs (now 27) I should be squatting 500+. I did what I called quarters for x 4 with 495 earlier this year and the depth actually wasn't far off the depth you went in this footage. There were other comments relating to my perceived short comings too.
I am enjoying my new direction of body weight training, daily jogs, and a cleaner diet. My days of lifting "big" impressive weights are over. What I find a touch amusing is that all in all, I didn't do too bad, even the though the likes of yourself and others are/were lifting 100 more on some lifts. Big deal. I'm not in to comparing myself to others or aim to strive for what the general status quo says -- at x you should be doing y. But in this instance it shows that there's not much difference between you and I.
Anyway, wishing you well and looking forward to your PR.

Leigh....this is a picture and vid thread in case you did not notice. Wonderful if your size and condition is similar to mine. Post up some pics!
Also....if you squatted 495x4....great! Again....lets see it.
I cant think for the life of me why you would feel the need to make a post like you did. Send me a PM if you needed to get something off your chest....or feel free to start a thread and show me I am wrong. Dont clog up what is a great thread with a lots of peoples accomplishments with your 'issues' or insecurities.RAW lifts

Not much for a former 705 puller but this is the first time conventional deadlifting for me in something like 7 years - the hip surgery seems to have fixed my former crippling pain when DLing, probably the labrum clipping helped.
Either way, be nice to get back to 600 conventional but I'm not going to sweat it.. for now I'm doing deads for a single set at the END of a back workout, followed immediately by shrugs.
Hopefully next time I pull it will be in my home gym with non-retarded ROUND 45's not these stupid things 24 hour uses to prevent people from DLing...

How do you know if you're a tool?
1. You take gym selfies
2. You go to a tanning salon
3 You're truck is lifted
4. You talk about how much you can lift
5. You use the word 'Bro'
6. You got upset reading this thinking 'man i'm a tool'
