Thanks for the support everyone.
Takamatsu,I got the bar from Australian Barbell Company. It was a custom order being black nitride, they make the Super Strength standard in chrome usually, but I think your best option would be to track down an Ivanko b86.As far as I know, these are the only two standard bars with ratings over 1000lb.

Thanks, gang! It was max out day, and I didn't want to sugarcoat anything this time. I wanted to document as much as I can. YouTube has lots of weightlifting footage showing PRs and other successful lifts. But truth is behind each of those PR are dozens of 'failed' attempts. (And it's the same thing in other strength sports like Powerlifting, as I'm sure our Powerlifting and Strongman athletes would attest to.)
Good thing the background music muted me cursing in my native language. When Asians get pissed off, we sound like a menu from the local all-you-can-eat buffet. This above all..
To thine ownself be true..
And it must follow, as the night the day..
Thou can'st not then be false to any man..

Happy Friday everyone, you're all looking great!
The gym was dead so I hit some quick poses after training. I'm finally able to pose without any pain, so it's slowly coming back.

I am so inspired and impressed by the progress and pics that people are posting..
I'm not officially in the O35 club yet, but this seems to be a sacred place where miscers ne'er tread, so hopefully I am still welcome despite being ~300 days shy of my membership badge
I was going to have a rest day today, but no way I can justify that now.. Will scatter reps like candy throughout the thread!

Wow, that's some peak! And thick too.
Congratulations! You definitely need a bigger bar for all the weight you are pulling
Great control! You almost make it look easy. I hate when guys feel the need to slam down their 135's so everyone knows they're lifting.
Very nice. I need to drink more beer
Just wow - you're looking fantastic!Peace: Lift Long and Prosper!
Alamagan Dågan - and proud of it!

If you really squint, and look in the other direction, you may see some progress. I managed to diet back down to 255 so I was just checking if my unplanned bulk left me any gains.
aplolgies for the poor fitting shorts... my wardrobe situation is a mess, but I want to scrape buy until I settle in at a reasonable weight.

You've got great mass and the abs are coming in .. good luck with the show
Shoulders are looking really big and tris are there for mass as well. Looking good Daz
Looking really good Kimm and that's great news about the pain
I'm sorry to hear that .. it looks like your diagnosis is correct. I've had both LHBs ruptured and got tenodeses done (don't let a surgeon tell you not to bother getting them fixed because of your age btw!) The good thing is that the repairs now are usually very good results, and while my biceps look different to the way they were before there is very little functional difference
Great transformation. I love your smile in that pic as well
You've made big changes since you started and you've been consistent with your training so you're winning. It's that consistency that will pay off down the track

Damn, Litljay . . . yeah, that looks like the exact opposite of what I had with the distal bicep rupture. Yours popped at the shoulder and rolled down--mine popped at the forearm and rolled up. Let us know what the ortho says, but I'd put money on that being the bicep tendon rupture. Good luck!!!!!

Looking good, Daz!
Definitely coming back, Kimm
Jay, sorry to hear about your bicep. Keep us posted on your doc visit. Hope all is better than you think.
Excellent transformation, Gofer.
Nice, Bill. Gains take long-term, so you are getting there.
You have a great natural physique and genetics, Marcello. Good to have you here
Looking good, rg. Keep it up.Last edited by Phattso; 08-03-2013 at 02:47 PM.
