Might be a good idea for a separate thread. I'll give you my thoughts either way, but to keep this thread on topic, I'll wait to see if you start a thread or respond via PM.

Thanks! Fat is always relative. I do not prefer to rest nor use a double overhand grip, these are the tools of my trainer. His goal is to make me stronger but first I must be perfect. (Well close to perfect) So a standing breath or two between every rep is prescribed and yes, it is harder.

You could compete and do well in physique, at least locally, right now.

My latest side pose. At 175.6 around 6% bf according to calipers. But that's probably underestimating a bit.

Deads 585x5 full stop. Went for this last week and got it. (a new lifetime PR). Camera did not record!

Was not going to miss this today!. I hate E-stating...so here is my 'put up or shut up'.

Was feeling off today, but pulling this again was more a matter of will than strength. I think on a good day I have 6 coming real soon!

Estimated 1rm is closing in on 700. But will be happy pulling anything over 650. Going to go for a new single PR when I can rep 585 7 times. (estimated 1rm will be 702)

    585x5.....again Body weight still 203.

No workout or pose pics, just some from a 10 mile obstacle course I ran this morning. Lots of running through mud, water, sand and road as well as climbing half pipes , storage containers and 8 ft walls. Needless to say, I'm whooped!

Fridays are saved for deads for me. I need the two days off of the weekend to begin to recover. I do legs on tues so I have a good 3 days in between. Overall it is a back and light bicep day.

For deads, I only do 1-2 working sets when I am going this heavy. Any more just buries me too much and I cant recover.

Yesterday I only did the one set. (minus warm-up)

    135x5
    225x5
    315x5
    405x3
    495x1

Then my one working set of 585x5

At times I will then drop back to 405 and do deficits for a set or two. Sometimes some SLDL. Yesterday I was not feeling all that great, so I stopped after the one set.

I then did two sets of parallel grip chinups

For biceps, I did 3 sets of 12 ez curl bar
And 2 sets of dumbbell curls.

    That is my whole workout.

As for over under grip, I have no problems switching between the two. I generally only use it for singles or if I am prepping for a meet. Just not worth the risk for me. Plus it makes the exercise less effective as an overall back development. (one lat gets activated less). I can hold a lot more then I can pull....so I dont feel the risk of exposing myself to unnecessary injury is worth it.

Thanks for the support guys! 6 is coming very soon!

Dang, you guys are an inspiration to me...InducedDrag...great lift man....and the other guys, great work...looking fit.
I've lost thirty pounds in the past 4 months, weight put on during flight school and 7 years of focusing on building
my business...I got back serious again back in Feb with training and diet and still want to lean up about 5 more pounds.
You guys are a great inspiration.

    Two weeks before meet.

Did some light snatches.. Then C&J max out to 108-kg. followed by brainfart 110, and finished with three sets squat triples.

Holy crap, I think I'm worn out and my heart is pounding just from watching that. The thing that really gets me is you just walk away from it at the end, as if it were nothing. Sheez, anytime I'm working around my max, I take a knee right after the set. I've seen the video of that guy doing a head dive into the dumbbell rack a few too many times.

Damn, look at all the biceps peaks in here lately! Berg, looking good man. JerryB... those arms! Glad to hear you're already planning for next year. And the king of peaks, of course, BH... good videos, man.

My latest flexing pose... Still hanging at 168, but all of my 30" jeans and shorts are now so loose that I have to wear a belt. I bought a pair of 29" shorts today. The last time I weighed 168 back in 2011, I was wearing 32's.

A shot from the Bud Light "whatever USA" epic party. I'm there as a local, not a contestant, but the party was good fun just the same. An hour later there was 5,000 people in the streets dancing to Lil John.

My legs are looking much better

Earlier this year, I was at 285+ and while I was lifting every week, I was not eating well and going through a lot of stress.

This weekend, I was down to 215 and while I still have some excess weight that is most noticeable around my belly area, my legs are looking starting to look pretty good.

I am a long way from my ideal body image but am very pleased with the results thus far.

I know that I lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time and would not suggest to anyone that they try that.
