Had a bit of a deload week this week with legs anyway and today was lighter weight and higher reps as tomorrow at noon - toughmudder.com
10-12 miles, I'm no cardio fiend either - hope I come out relatively unscathed.

Inspired by cmoore, I tried doing a one-arm pull up today. It seemed like an impossible feat. So I tried some negatives. Raised myself up on the bar, grabbed with one arm and slowly lowered. Well, "slowly" might not be the best word to describe it. So then I did a one-arm cheat holding my wrist with the other arm and trying not to use the other arm too much. I did a couple with each arm with way. Maybe I'll eventually get there.
I took a quick pic after today's back workout. It's not a pic of my back because my back sucks bad, but my arms were partially pumped from the workout.
Keep the thread going, guys!

I post a lot of pics...yep I do.
But I realized tonight that when I am cutting, I tend to post a lot of shirtless pics. When bulking (as I am now), I feel bloated and I tend to post mostly lifting vids (cause my strength goes way up) or I post pics in a tank. I feel this is kind of a cop out....only posting flattering pics.
To put it all out there and inspired by Bodyhard and many others who bear it all......good-bad or indifferent....I brought the camera in the gym tonight to take pics of my (bulky and carb bloated) self. I was hesitant to do this..but I am putting my money where my mouth is. Even rolled up the shorts for this one
I am just about at the point where I will start cutting again....but really enjoying the strength. My wife will be happy when I cut. She calls me "boulder" or "gorilla" when I am in bulk mode. I take it as a compliment.....but I dont think she means it as one

Looking for the green paint
I really dont know my true weight till I stop this crazy diet. I'll explain. I have been experimenting with a new take on carb cycling. On my workout days, I often intake 500+g of carbs, including simple sugars, dextrose...etc(2000+cals just in carbs). This causes crazy swings in my water balance. My weight is between 203 and 211....yes...it really swings around that much on this diet. I will know my "real" weight the after the first week of my cut as my water balance will settle in back to "normal".
Thanks man....means a lot coming from you...cause I know what your standards are. I have really payed a lot of attention to keeping reasonable leanness while bulking over the past several bulk phases. I have really discovered the power of cyclical eating.
Thanks man....to be fair, I am very critical of myself and I know that. I just dont like the puffy bloated feeling all the time coming off of being as lean as I was for most of summer. Not quite as eager to pull the shirt off
Thanks!
You are looking pretty good man. I think you will be surprised what happens when you get your body comp dialed in. I believe your motivation will take a big up-turn. For a tall guy, you seem like you have the ability to carry very good thickness which is a rarity. I think you would be huge in the real sense if you desired.RAW lifts

Thanks again. At the moment I guess I have 220lbs and 10-12% BF in my head as a number to shoot for.... I think that I could show a lot more muscle with some more fat loss.
I did a whole bunch of measuring recently and I've also set some goals there... I'd like to shoot for a 50" chest and 32" waist but not sure how realistic that is TBH (currently at 47.5" and 36" respectively). I would be more than satisfied with a 15" drop from my chest to my waist and a difference of 10" between my waist and hips. Don't ask me why...lol... just random numbers that sound good.
I think that 230-240lbs at 10-12% would be MORE than big enough for my tastes. That's roughly NFL linebacker/tight end size and I think that those guys have a nice blend of size and muscle definition.
You can actually order those? Ha! Awesome! Arms are lookin' pretty jacked there Bando-brah!

ID, I can't say this without sounding like a f'cking jerk so I am not even going to start with "with all due respect" so here it is. I just asked you if you were over 194lbs, I did not ask "how", so keep the diet sh!t to someone who has not been in this game as long as I have OK. I mean seriously by addressing that statement to me it is like you are telling me "Here is how I do it, if you do this you to will get more mass as well" and I honestly don't want to go there with you. So, next time if someone like myself (been in the game a while now) asks you, "are you over 194lbs?" Just say something along these lines "Hell yeah man I am up to 220lbs", you get where I am coming from?

No prob man.... Just was trying to answer as straight as I can. I really dont know what I weigh as it is fluctuating so much on a daily basis. (6-7 lb daily swings.) Never really experienced this before, but this diet is very different then anything I have done as well.
Of course I am over 194...Last time I updated my weight was over 3 months ago when I dieted down to hit 194 from from peaking at 210. I thought you knew that....but since I know you dont follow my journal, I thought I would explain in more detail.RAW lifts
