Thanks. No doubt you have it in you. Over the past few years I have learned how to train better. Five years ago I did this, but my training was not as efficient and the best I got was 310 for two and I was smoked. Today I got 320 for three, 320 for 1, 275 for 7 and 225 for 10. You have about 375 in you right now, but you don't know it yet.

Pretty momentous day today. My son made the decision to ride his bike without training wheels today. After a couple of quick runs, he was off, riding like he has been doing it forever:
We also visited my grandparents' grave. My grandmother survived the Holocaust. My grandfather was a WWII paratrooper. Buried in a Jewish cemetery:

Well I have not been in this thread in a while... my apologies. I took a bit of a break from the interwebz. So many of you were so encouraging to me during my bulk that I wanted to make sure to update the thread with my cutting progress. I'm not reaching many epic PR's these days... but I am rockin' a bikini. Everything's a trade-off!
^^So this is 7 weeks out in my new custom-made suit!

LOL thanks!
Thanks so much! I think fully bulked my waist was measuring around 29.5in. Right now it's 27in. Truth be told... 27in isn't exactly tiny for a girl. One of my competitor friends has a 23in waist! Crazy! Mine just happens to have the illusion of being smaller because I've got a wide back and a big bum! LOL
Thanks... and yes it was! (and still is)

It really is a trade-off. I don't know which I enjoy more: getting progressively stronger all Winter or getting leaner all Summer. They're both fun, I guess. By the way, stephanielynn76, I don't know if I've mentioned this before but, I'm a big fan.
Lookin' god, BH!"It doesn't matter what exercise you do, but man was made to move, to eat sparingly, to work hard and to screw as much as he can manage. Do all that, and you will look as good as your genes will let you, be content as the arseholes around you will allow, and maybe get a few screws. The particular virtues of weight training are in the discipline it brings to both mind and body, and, if you do it right, it will make you look good naked and do well what you got your clothes off to do." Thanks!!! I feel the very same way! Bulking or cutting... they both have their advantages and disadvantages. I honestly LOVE lifting and I am always stoked to get in there and bust some PR's. It makes the extra bulking "fluff" much more bearable. However, I also love being able to put on anything I want and look good in it without feeling self conscious. I honestly don't know which one I like more either!
thanks... will do!!!
#1... yes, I AM very lean for 7 weeks out. I'm glad you mentioned that because that is what I am seeing too. I don't have an actual "coach" managing my prep so I've been relying on my own eyes and instincts to know what adjustments to make. Sometimes it's hard to be objective with myself. I am most DEFINITELY worried about coming in to lean and/or too hard.. My current game plan is to stick with what I'm doing until I feel like I'm officially "stage ready" then make adjustments to keep myself from getting any leaner. I'm still eating quite a bit... 1800-1900 calories with my carbs at 170-200. I figured the first thing I would do was cut out some of the cardio. Right now I'm doing 6 days/wk... either a 1-hr Zumba class or 35-45 min on a machine. What are YOUR thoughts? What do I do?? I was hoping to give myself enough cushion to be able to "eat up" during peak week. I keep my carbs fairly high throughout my prep therefore I need a LOT of carbs to be "full." I was gonna down some starchy foods during my peak week to ensure I don't come in flat (like I did last year...).
#2... nahhhh... not worried about being too muscular for figure. There is an amazing national-level figure competitor that trains at my gym and she is much bigger than I am. Standing next to her is like... "do I even lift???"

I've been hesitant to post any pics in here lately due to just coming back from surgery (2 hernias) and really just lifting relatively heavy for the past 3-4 weeks. But here's a couple shots from the gym on Thurs and Fri of last week. The second one is a little goofy but I was dressing after chest day and had my shirt half way on when I thought I saw a glimmer of hope and snapped a quick pic.
Right now is working on dropping body fat.

I was thinking that too. My wife and I were looking at your pictures and I said "seven weeks is a long time." You look like you're no more than three or four weeks out. I guess you can use the time to go really slow and get it perfect! I can't wait to see your pics in July!
