I just captured 4th place in the OBF Fall 2012 Transformation Challenge here on bb.com. First time I won anything fitness related. The pic on the right I submitted as one of my optional pics. I was busting out of those jeans a year ago looking like I did in the pics on the left. Didn't think to take a shot in the jeans back then.

Very impressive, you deserve the award and recognition. If you came in 4th i'd like to see 3rd, 2nd and 1st.

Congrats man. You look like a totally different person.
Reminds me of this dude on my car forum; I'd met him a few times in person, and since then we started a fitness/weight loss thread and all posted daily. He posted that he had lost a bunch of weight but never posted pics despite several requests. Then he stopped posting altogether.
Fast forward and the next summer I am at a meet and greet in Toronto this guy comes up to me and just stands there in front of me grinning ear to ear. I was like wtf? who is this weirdo smiling at me???
And he says "You don't recognize me, do you?"
And I knew the voice, but couldn't place it. He had to tell me who he was. I just about ****. He had lost a full 100 lbs.
Do you get that from people you haven't seen in a while?

When I lost my weight, my inlaws hadn't seen me for 6-8 months. When my son was born, they flew in. They got to the hospital shortly after he was born. I came around the corner to the nursery window, still in scrubs. They were standing at the window looking at their new grandson. I started talking to them about him; they thought I was the doctor!

I did. Last year I was too busy to ride with my Harley Group but I showed up for the annual New Years Day ride about 87 pounds lighter and several guys I have known for years did not recognize me at all! I was like "Good morning Bill" and he was good morning nice of you too come ride with us. 15 minutes later he was freaked out that it was me.

That is truly amazing! You really look like a whole new man, face as well as body. I have the greatest respect for you to start the change and follow through. And to take the "before" pictures. Don't think I would have had the balls.

Nope. Never. Not me. I got recognized in the gym last year by someone I went to college with - 26 years after graduation! I didn't even remember knowing him. No one outside the gym has ever noticed that I've been busting my ass in the gym. Not one person has ever said anything. Ever. Maybe I just live in "polite" society. That, and I really don't look all that different.

I love the transformations and the continued commitment people show in this thread. In a sea of "I want to get toned" posts, this is one thread I always hit to see what the serious folks are up to. And while I don't quote every post that I like, I certainly appreciate everyone sharing, hell, I even learned a few things! Nice job everyone.
Kinda grainy....but sitting at 256.5. Deadlift is skyrocketing despite losing weight, I am pretty sure it because my belly is slowly melting away and I am getting better leverages on the bar. I think my shoulders have caught up to my chest, therefore, I added benching back into my workout.

Thanks DocHoss! This past year was not my first rodeo at trying to lose weight so I knew how valuable "before" pictures can be to the process even if you only take them for yourself and don't share them with others. I still read posts from folks that wish they had taken before pictures.

This thread has been a MAJOR motivation and inspiration for me. All the regulars that post in here keep inspiring me and many others I am sure to get better. I spent the past year dropping all that weight/fat and now I want to focus this year on starting to get that "muscular look" that so many of you already have.
Keep them pics and videos coming!
