Hey! I am currently 17 year old, 5ft 11, 166lbs and about 15% bodyfat. I am not sure what I want to do - either being lean and muscly, or bulky and muscly - Anyway, I currently work at McDonald's I will work 4-5 times a week (shifts vary A LOT!) usually between 7 - 9 hour shifts. I am currently trying to lose weight and eat 1800 calories, but after standing up for 7 hours a day at least 4 days, football and weight training 3-4 times a week I don't think that is enough. Also, I only eat a small amount as it is cheap and I don't really have the money for lots of good healthy food. So this is where McDonald's comes in, as I will be burning more calories purely by being stood up most of the day, and I get a free meal when working, I can probably get up to 1500 calories (including a shake, so about 60g protein in the whole meal, obviously a lot of fat and carbs) in 1 meal, after looking I can put on about a pound a week eating about 3200 calories. I know people say you can eat what you want if it fits your macros but do you still get good results? And if I was to bulk, what should my macro % be? I was thinking 40 pro, 40 carb, 20 fat? Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

That's the thing! I don't feel fine! haha :P. I have been eating grilled chicken wraps every time I worked. But I'm just bored of not eating and feel so drained of energy all the time! I'm hoping to have a diet outline of some sort sorted by Monday. I have a workout plan, it is quite literally just compound movements with a few isolation movements in there.

It's not the best quality food so you're going to feel like ****. It's not easily digested and the nutrients aren't easily absorbed. Try eating leaner and more if you can. 1800 calories is not nearly enough. And do me one favor, put your hat on straight, please and thank you.

I try but it is more expensive, I could eat more leaner on a very low calorie diet as less needs to be eaten. But on a 2700-3200 calorie diet eating lean costs soooo much more. I can eat around 300-350g chicken breast (about 2 large breasts) a day, 4 eggs and 3 shakes is about the most I can eat and aford protein wise (Should be around 180-190g protein at least in that acording to MyFitessPal)

You will never be satisfired with your body without cutting McDonalds out of your diet. Trust me, this is coming from a guy that used to eat 2-3 hamburgers a day 2 years a go. So how I didn't gain much fat but I was always tired and couldn't stay awake in school. When I switched to healthy foods I have so much more energy, progress, and mass.
I'm also kind of poor so I've had to learn how to eat cheap. Use BB.com to find the cheapest protein you can. A poor man has no taste buds in bodybuilding. You can eat a ton of boiled eggs, cottage cheese, oatmeal, brown rice, tuna ect. These are my main meals. When I go to work I take a protein shake along with me and maybe something like oatmeal. Find ways to get your healthy meals in to meet your calorie count and you'll be fine. Or maybe try adding a multivitamin to your diet, they aren't that expensive. If You're Not Gaining, You're Losing.
I'm a sculptor, my body is my masterpiece, the world is my witness.

Nah man, it's way cheaper to buy in bulk and get your food ready for the week than it is to eat at mcdonalds everyday or buy something everyday. Go to walmart or costco or wherever, get bags of chicken, tilapia, sweet potatoes, etc, things like that. Way cheaper in the long run. 2 Bags of chicken that last me a week is 10$, 2 bags of tilapia is 8$, big box of rice lasts about 2 weeks, 5$, sweet potatoes are 38c a pound. Find stuff like that man. Sure you gotta cook and takes a little more time, but it's worth it.
And Mike you can easily get your fats and carbs and other macros by eating lean. You don't need to eat mcdonalds or something with a lot of fat in it. For example I put olive oil on my chicken, sweet potatoe, and rice meals to meet my fats.“You, me or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!
