    Maybe I'm just friends with slow runners, but I've been running for years and you seem pretty average to me. Faster than me anyway! :-) Admittedly I weigh a lot more than I used to, but hey!

    I'm a little late joining the party as I see its quite an old thread. But in case anyone else comes across the question : IMO the best thing you can do is throw the clock out of the window, find somewhere beautiful that will draw youback again and again, and just run.

    Running does amazing things for body and mind. The only sure-fire way to get better at it is to do it a lot. But you'll only do it a lot if you relax and love every minute. And don't think in terms of everyone else. there will always be someone faster or slower than you.
