Angry Why don't I look as big as those guys????

Hey everyone. I made this because i am quite annoyed with something. I go on youtube and i see these dudes who look huge lifting less then i do. They have huge arms but i can Barbell Row, Barbell Curl, Bench, and Deadlift more then them. This one guy looked massive but was only deadlifting 310 pounds.....i can deadlift 450lbs six times but i don't look like that....what gives? =/ Is it because im tall and dont have extremely low bpdyfat? Im 19 years old, 6 foot 3, and weigh 252 pounds. WTF!!!!! >=O. Thank you

Bro. My comment wasn't a troll comment I'm serious lol.
Smaller guys in height can weigh less & still look jacked.
I'm 140, and I LOOK bigger than guys who are a couple inches taller than me and that are the same height.

2 things , are those their maxes or just a set or 2 they were doing for warmup, how tall are they? bc being 5'6 and 200 pounds or 6 foot and 200 pounds makes a huge difference

You realize that strength training doesnt make your muscles bigger right? Bodybuilding does. Thats why bodybuilders are weaker than powerlifters.

Thats why. Theres three types of muscle fibers and mainly one type is recruited based on the amount of weight (which we can measure as number of reps to failure) 1-6 is strength, 6-8 is a little strength and mostly mass, 8-12 is mass, and 12+ is endurance

I think your a little off, according to Neil Hill it's 1-10 works your Type 2B fibers (strength), 12-15 works Type 2A fibers (mass), and 20-100 works Type 1 fibers (endurance). He could be wrong though..he's only the biggest fitness guru in the UK. Actually I'm serious though, he could be wrong

Im pretty sure its something like 1-6, 6-12, and 12+

but they overlap so you can get strength gains above 6 reps and mass gains in the 12-15 range. its just what group is overall the most recruited. i could be wrong too, thats just what i was taught by others, never took kinesiology or physiology or anything.

You can get very big doing low rep ranges. It's called eating food.

Yeah. You can grow from strength training. But its not going to be like when youre bodybuilding and putting on lots of muscle. I think thats what the OP was confused about.

Dont listen to them. You can get huge off of just strength training. Look at professional power lifters, they're huge as fuk, if they cut they'd be asthetic as fuk as well.

You get strength and mass gains whatever you do (maybe with the exception of 100 reps) but 1-5/6 and 6/7-12 will just optimize you're gains in either strength or mass respectively.

There was a img. I saw a while ago that showed the correlation between strength and size, what actually happened in those rep ranges, and then what the misc thought.

It showed there was little difference in the long run, but showed that the misc thought that there was going to be a huge difference in their gains, which while they will be slightly less if you're training for strength but aiming for mass and vice versa.

But the differences in the long run are not noticeable.

It's not about how much you can lift. Muscle grows by stimulation. Your muscle can't distinguish between say 225 pounds or 315 pounds. It's all about overloading, volume, frequency, and hitting every muscle fiber possible. You stimulate the muscle to grow in the gym, you make it grow in the kitchen and by resting.
“You, me or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth than go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers sayin’, you ain’t where you wanna be because of him or her or anybody!"

This one guy looked massive but was only deadlifting 310 pounds.....i can deadlift 450lbs six times but i don't look like that....what gives? =/ Is it because im tall and dont have extremely low bpdyfat?
