    Why did I gain weight?!

    Hey guys!
I'm just gonna get straight right into it. I've been on a cut for a week and a half now. I've been doing the Scott torn's cut program. I've also been doing HIIT cardio everyday. I've been eating really healthy, oats, fruit, brown rice, chicken, veggies etc and I've been controlling my portion sizes. I've been sticking to my macros and I'm eating about 1400 calories a day.
Anyways, before I started my cut I weighed 13 stone. I weighed myself yesterday and I'm 13 stone 4 pounds!! I've been busting my ass in the gym with the weights and cardio. Eating really healthy. Why the hell am I after gaining 4 pounds in a week and a half?!
It's so discouraging. Ive been looking in the mirror and I can see some more definition in the top of my stomach. And my girlfriend even said he can see a little difference. But maybe my eyes are fooling me into thinking I look a little defined. Anyways, I want to know why I gained 4 pounds and what am I doing wrong.

    Thanks!

    -Noel

You aare probably retaining water. Give your body more time to drop down. I doubt you are underestimating your calories too much. Are you weighing yourself with your dry weight? Did you take measurements?

You're eating too much, probably due to inaccurate calorie counting:

If you are on a diet with 1600 calories, in no way you can gain 4 pounds a week, let alone that you are doing cardio....

You are eating too much, re-count your calories and evaluate your diet.

I'm telling you now, I'm not eating too much. If anything I'm eating too little! I have been using myfitnesspal and putting in EVERY thing I put in my mouth. And for the record, I should be eating 1600 calories and I've only been eating 1300-1400 calories a day. I haven't even eaten junk food for god sake.

Junk food doesn't matter. Lots of Us here have lost weight even eating junk. You are either eating too much or retaining water. Give it another week or 2. Are you weighing yourself dry? I assume u know what that means.

Stick with what you're doing, give it at least 2 or 3 weeks before you adjust. Sometimes during my cut my weight would fluctuate in weird ways, but I just ignored it unless I didn't see progress for 2 or 3 weeks.

    Your TDEE is 1600?

    Factor Category Definition BMR RMR
1.2 Sedentary Little or no exercise and desk job 2,107 2,018

That is your TDEE with the lowest factor available. Something may be wrong with your numbers. BMR = TDEE in this case.

Well if it helps in any way, the scales that i weighed myself on was an electric one that measures your BMI etc, and it said I was 13 st 4 p. But later on that day I went to my girlfriends house and weighed myself on her scales and it said that I was bang on 13 stone. And the other day I was 12 st 12 p. It's constantly changing. But as I've said, I'm starting to see some changes in my body such as more definition.

Problem 1 you are using different scales. Don't do that. Problem 2 you are measuring too often. Problem 3 you are not measuring dry. This means you wake up, use the bathroom, then measure. Always wear the same thing when doing this. Your food intake and water levels will effect your weight.

Hit the weights with intensity! Cut your time between sets in the gym, and don't eat a lot of carbs past 6-7 PM. You can do crunches, but you may not see results in your abdomen until you lose body fat over all. Spot training really doesn't exist. Use natural supplements to control your insulin levels such as cinnamon, green tea, and apple cider vinegar.

Too much cardio can actually make you gain weight, cut down the cardio days to 3-4 a week and im sure you'll see results, along with the diet
