pretty good game today. had **** buckets of possession. most odd but impressing part was that a big center forward (Giroud) scored a goal from a cross. it's very hard to comprehend Arsenal pulling that off.

Podolski was fantastic today. he's been a much more complete player than i thought he would be. i don't remember ever watching him defend for Germany/Cologne and he's doing it regularly now which is really helping Gibbs out as well. his vision and passing are just nut bustingly great. i still think he's best used as a striker but he looks really good on the wing too. i think he has all the qualities that RvP had minus the injury prone aspect and he'll really establish himself to the world as a world class player this season.

was definitely impressed by Giroud today. i still think big center forwards are not the best investments for Wenger's Arsenal but he works his ass off and looks so eager to get on the end of every ball. his shooting looked less erratic as well. he got another assist today by holding the ball up and tapping it through for an overlapping winger (Walcott) to score.

Mannone worries me a lot. he doesn't have the frame/strength to intercept crosses and punch the ball out. he's a good shot stopper but i can't wait to have Szczezceszcny back.

Agreed about Podolski, I knew he'd do well at Arsenal when I saw the comment he made saying something like "i can be Arsenal's everything man, i can play through the middle on the left or the right". It really showed he was a team player with none of that bullsht like with walcott.

Mannone may be hesitant but he looks so much better than Flabianski or Almunia.

Napoli v Udinese should be interesting. Cannavaro out for Napoli through suspension, Hamsik/Cavani duo shoud be back in starting line up. Meanwhile Di Natale is in hot form after the Europa win against Liverpool. My money is on Udinese +0.5, +1 @ 2.20. A draw for Udinese seems highly likely here I think.

My team Juve away against Siena will be good. Bonucci suspended after 4 yellows, expect a couple of rested players even though we have the 2 week break ahead. My guess would be one of the MVP midfielders to start on the bench. Siena have a bad track record at home to Juve and were looking to be in fine form until last weeks loss to Lazio. Juventus -0.5, -1 @ 1.70 for me.

The other game to watch will be Roma v Atalanta. Both had shocking games last week. Both have defensive worries, Roma seem to fall apart in the back after the break, and Atalanta have 3 centre backs out sick, Manfredini, Lucchini and Stendardo. I'm taking the over here even at though the value seems a bit low. Over 2.5 @ 1.47. Should see 3 goals scored easy I think.
