    Muscles twice a week? please help

    Hi

    I'm thinking of working out the same group of muscles twice a week. I was wondering if I should switch up the exercises so I'll have two different routines for the two different days of the same muscle group?
    or should I just stick with the same routine for both days?

    Personally when I would work legs twice a week I would switch up it up like (Squat heavy-Leg press light x more reps Monday) then (Leg press heavy -Squat light x more reps Thursday) Plus similar exercises in between varying them or doing alternate ways etc. I have not done this for any other muscle group but my legs sure did explode after doing this for awhile.

    Mix it up, but if you find your legs aren't performing very well on the second workout of the week, you might have to dial it back to once per week. In the past I've trained legs up to twice a week, but the closest I get for any other body part is after 4 days rest.

    However, if you've been training for years and are prepping for a show, bring it.

    Its very hard for me to train my upper body 2xs a week.. I usually do chest and tris monday and usually dont hit chest again at all at least till thursday/ friday in which i do some speed bench. But thats it. I would suggest maybe doing a heavy workout early in the week and light workout late in the week, if you wanna double up.
