    Super Budget Gaming PC Build!

I wanna build a cheap pc that can high to max any game at 1080P with a 400 euro budget. here is what I plan to get:

    Motherboard: ASROCK H61M-VS S1155 H61 mATX -> 44 euros

CPU: Pentium G630 -> 58 euros (might be bought in the US for 64$ instead)

Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 -> 42 euros

PSU: Adata HM 750w -> 50 euros Bought!

Ram: 4gb Corsair Value Select -> 19.5 euros Bought!

HDD: Got a spare 250gb and a 160gb hdd lying around so they will be used for now.

Dvd Burner: any generic -> 20 euros?

GPU: Radeon 6870 or 6950 most likely.

Total money spent so far: 69.5 euros

What do you guys think about my build?

Did you even read the post? I said I have 164 euros left to buy a gpu, either a 6950 or Gtx 560 Ti.

Also, the G630 is a sandy bride dual core that can max bf3 easy at 50+ fps given the right gpu.

    I haven't tried it, but I don't think I could push 40 at high on a 64 player server during a shootout.

I'd look at a 6870 at the minimum then 6950 if you could spare the cash

lol @ thinking you're going to be able to max out modern games at 1080p with a playable framerate on that

    just lol

Also people misuse the phrase "max out" too much. "Maxing out" a game generally means you have everything up all the way, including the highest AA setting that the game has available. Good luck running BF3 on Ultra with 4xMSAA @ 1920x1080.

Another thing, that benchmark page on tomshardware is misleading as phuck. My PC is at least twice as fast as the budget PC they have listed and I can hardly hit 25-30fps with BF3 maxed out and 4xMSAA on @ 1920x1080 and they're trying to tell me they have a 40fps average? Calling bullchit on that. On ultra settings without MSAA, I'm generally sitting at a solid 60fps with occasional dips to 45-50. Obviously factors like what map they were testing and whether or not they were playing multiplayer (I don't think they were) make all the difference but that's like sitting in a dark corner and telling people you get 60fps on ultra settings.

BF3 is extremely GPU reliant. Please tell me how your GPU is "at least twice as fast" as their overclocked Gtx 560 Ti? Do you have a GTX 680 or 7970?

Edit: I didnt mean to say that I want to have max MSAA, just high-max details.

It's not, I said my PC as a whole was. My GPU is a 560 Ti 448 core which has been OC'd and is about as fast as a stock 580. Either way, it's still better than a standard 560 Ti and my FPS on those settings aren't anywhere near as good as this benchmark claims.

And an SSD would be useless unless you want faster loading times. I don't think it'll improve in game performance much. BF3 has really long load times.

So your 560 Ti 448 can't handle ultra at 1080P? What about high settings? I currently get 35-40 fps at med details 1080p from a measly GT 545.

No, it can handle ultra settings at 1080 easily. That's what I play at. Refer to my first post. It cannot, however, handle 4xMSAA. I just leave that off and use FXAA.

Yea so if I get something like a reg 560 Ti or 6950 my build should come close to maxing the detail settings. Since I have 160 euros left to spend, getting either of those cards is perfectly possible.

BF3 is recommended a quad core cpu. I played it on a dual core and it is slow as phuck. If you want a cheap quad get a phenom II x4 and a cheap ati card. Intel/nvidia are more expensive.

    AMD = Poor mans processor
Stay the phuck away, I'd only go near the bulldozer chips, but they are stone age compared to sandy bridge

The Pentium G630 beats the octa-core FX 8120 in gaming and will definitely not bottleneck a radeon hd 6950. You either underestimate the power of this cpu, or you overestimate the cpu requirements of games.

    Pls go.

Yes and the G630 is sandy bridge so it beats all (non oced) bulldozers in gaming apart from the 8150 and the 4170.

Too say that AMD is worthless is ridiculous, Intel and AMD are different but in a budget sense AMD is the most you will get out of your money.

I would change the processor to a AMD Phenom 2 since you are doing a budget build, there is no way you will buy a computer with that budget and use intel processors.

I doubt that budget you will make you be able to play games on higher settings then medium.

Yeah he wants to play BF3 at max settings on a dual core. I could only play it on medium settings on a dual core with a gtx 550. Had to get a quad because my core 2 duo was getting slow and I had mine oc'd from 3.3 to 3.7 GHZ.

Those benchmarks were done on single player. Once you start trying 64 player online maps, your FPS is going to start dropping. BF3 loves four and six core CPUs.

not played bf3 in multi but on single I was eeking out decent frame rates (no 60 fps though) on a core 2 quad and an fxf 6950 1 gig card. that was on ultra at 1080 p.
to get steady frames at 60 fps I would have to scale back a few features.
I have a i5 2500k and a new main board (asrock) and memory (ripjaws) coming though, so I should be good with everything else.

Just read up on how BF3 needs more cpu power in mp. Might consider getting a FX 4100 or Phenom 965 now...
