Your total daily energy expenditure is around 2.7k so I say go ahead and eat that amount while you bulk. Eat at maintainence and lift heavy. Fat will come off and you will build muscle. Bulk for at least 6months to a year before you decide on whether you wana cut. Being 16 I don't suggest cutting though. I'm 15 and made that mistake but will try to drop to 10% before bulking again :P. Cheers!

losing fat is never pointless, expecially when you're >20%
it's pointless to try to be shredded and have defined six pack, because without muscle you will look a starvation victims before you can see any definition
but someone with 20% body fat and more can cut to be at least 15% and he will looks BETTER, definitely BETTER, regardless of muscle mass, and then start a bulk from a better starting point.
Besides if he is a beginner, cutting while lifting weight will results in muscle gains anyway

Do whatever will make you happy and you will put 100% effort into.
Who gives a damn what people here think you should do?
If you absolutely do not want to put on any more fat then recomp or if you are comfortable with adding more size (muscle and bit of fat) then get your diet right and eat.Great Deals on PROTEIN/SUPPS - PM me
Whether you think you can or think you cant, you are probably right!
