The MD breweries aren't bad(Flying Dog, DuClaw and Heavy Seas). But I'd kill to walk into a store and leave with Pliny, Furious, Sculpin and a Zombie Dust. Hell, I'm on the verge of prostitution for a bottle of Czar lol. When I win the lottery tonight, I'm ordering cases of beer and just staking pictures of it for Twitter and the ********s. IDGAF.
I may have a job offer in Palo Alto. I've not been taking it seriously b/c I hear cost of living is absurd but if it'll get me access to rare beers, I'll gladly eat ramen noodles for a few years.

The only Lagunitas beer I didn't like;I may have even hated it, was Daytime(no negs *******s!) Tasted like what I'd imagine the underside of a lawnmower would taste like. It was like drinking Fern Gully, pine cones and spruce leaves. Ugh.

So here I am drinking more styles none of you care about
A solid Kolsch. Fits the style well, but is a touch watered down, yet balanced. Lemon/pear/grass/herbal/cracker malt/light pepper
Schwarzbier. Really good, nicely balanced and robust. Chocolate/toffee/caramel/roast/light coffee/raisins/nutty/toast/molasses
I am ready for the haters here, but Rogue has fit the bill. The fruitiness is light; and the toast/biscuit/nuttiness is high with toffee and herbal spicy hops. Light pear and apple. Really well done. I still have a handful of Ofests to finish. Heavy Seas Prosit Imperial Ofest, Shiner Ofest, Harpoon Ofest, Stoudt's Ofest are left. After that I should be around 20 unique ones in the style just this year. Not too many fit the bill, as they were too fruity. Some brewers aren't lagering long enough dammit. Sam Adams was just plain bland and Weihenstephaner was not even close to what I expected for the style(but it was pretty good).
I had another Zombie Dust after that too[IIFYM]

Appreciate all the State Line info. Will definitely make a visit next time I am up that direction. Hell, I might visit my parents just to head that way!
Ah, to reminisce. I had always liked beers different than my friends. But never good beer until a couple of years back. The old me drank a lot of Killians when others were drinking Natty.
Lil Sumpin Sumpin stoked my craft beer passion. Thus, my full on nuthuggery of Lagunitas (although, in my defense, I posted not one but two moderate reviews of DayTime)
Going through a Belgian-style beer thing right now. After the first Saison Dupont, I was hooked. And my all time favorite is Trois Pistoles; so so good. I just drank my first beer of the night, and it was this:
And, honestly, it disappointed. I dig Allagash. But this one started with a nice Belgian flavor but ended with an unpleasing burning presence in the flavor profile.
Finally tasting the sweet Sculpin nectar once again:
Cheers!Run. Rave. Repeat.
