Drank a cans fro ma local today. Great river brewery big cock IPA.
Disappointed/10
Their 483 pale ale is more hoppy, has better body, and finishes better. This stuff was bland and then finsihed a touch hoppy. I am not impressed at all. 3/5 due to lacking body and hop flavor. Its a smashable ipa, but not a strong reflection of the true style.

Damn man sour ales blow. LOLOL. I love living near JP, just saying. This was just lightly acidic; but the nose was insanely complex with notes of tart cherry, apple, pepper, leather, hay, grass, clove, oak, slight vinegar, and barnyard funk. Very crisp and balance on the palate; the light acidity makes this easy to drink.
I also had a monks blood, which was a bit too bready and spicy; but quite good.
I didnt think that was too bad, really. Dark fruits, bananas, chocolate, pepper, and toasted biscuit. It was pretty tasty.[IIFYM]

I just opened a fresh Ten Fidy, and to all of you guys that say a 14 dollar 4 pack is too much: you are WRONG. This is one of the best RIS I have ever had fresh /thread. Come at me. Im buying more when I go back to Ohio for Xmas
Here's the clone, and im extremely tempted to make it; despite the fact that it will make my fermenter bucket explode

I have a Dogfishead 120 Minute IPA that I have been aging that I am cracking on Christmas Day.

How does one acquire such greatness?
All of that. Fuk farmhouse chit.
My local homebrew supply store sells gallon jugs for about $5. My GF uses them for "wine". I'd go with that if you can find it.
I see 2 maybe 3 unique glass styles I'd want. If you want multiples of the same or similar styles, I'd prefer having matching unbranded or differing with brewer logos I like. I'd pass.
Oddly enough, I think it's pretty widely available around here, but don't recall ever trying it. Perhaps I should. Something that costs nearly twice as much as old Raspy though...very hesitant.

Ya it sucks. Need to let it sit awhile, I believe.
I found monks blood to be meh.
Ya right.
****. Stuff isn't that good.
Raspy, stone ris, Breakfast stout are all better IMO. At first I thought it was good, but after subsequent drinks, it's not that great. Used to LOVE Peg Leg, but not so much anymore.Official Supp. Misc Beer Policeman
