Meanwhile, having a bad day.... Stage 3 beer shyts and I don't know how. 2 sucks, victory at sea, and breakfast stout. Felt like I was hit by a truck and have the morning shakes. Thefuk. Most of that was after I drank some cranberry juice and had some food in me.

My mom will usually try what I open when I'm around, but never likes it. Basically all she drinks is Corona Light, Bud Light Lime, and Margaritas. Did get her to try a Live Oak Hefeweizen recently and she actually liked it so she likes one good beer. I bet she still prefers Corona Light to it though haha.

Two Hearted is anyone's go to beer when you live in the Midwest. I feel the same about Founders Centennial too.

Tonight:

This is really damn good. Very drinkable with nice citrus hop complexity; and a bready and spicy rye balance. I might have to revisit Midwestern Pale Ale after this. Make sure I get i fresh.


Great stuff. Huge complexity of malt flavors and yeast fruitiness; with hardly any cloying at 12.5%.


Unbelievably amazing. Hop flavor complexity is INSANE: lots of citrus zest, grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, lemon zest, floral, grass, honey etc. Fcuking delicious


Oh damn this is a GREAT Tripel. Seriously complex with fruity esters and balance of malts; but is still fairly crisp even at 10.5%. I love this style so much.

I try to get him to drink different beers but he just doesn't like them. Some he likes, but he doesn't like any of my PA's and Stouts.

What are you guys paying for a 4 pack of Founders imperial stout? My store has a 4 pack priced at $17 (strong wtf, this store has good prices on everything usually) yet a single is only $3.15...Anyways I bought a single just to try it out but im curious either way

But if you bros are ever around the Mid-Atlantic, you gotta try DC Brau. They have a nice little collection of brews going.

Frosty mugs work well with warm beer bottles. In TX room temp beer is usually 80 degrees, so an icy mug puts it at the perfect temp for drinking. But yeah normally it makes your beer flavorless and too damn cold.

Understandable. A chilled mug, to me, is a much bigger sin when the vessel for a big IPA, or something of the sort. I really wasn't hating. Frosty mugs aren't my preference, but I was really just giving the poster some smack. In fun.

Hmm I wasn't aware they had quality control issues. That sucks. I had the MSP twice, from different batches, and both bottles were good.

Mine where a while back. Even the bottle I sent to Flesh at the time was infected. There are also multiple reports of infections in their small batch releases. The first bottle of MSP was good and delicious.

Lol, no. Unless I'm on cycle, I only take a multi, calcium, vit D3, and vit C.
Anyway, open bar tomorrow night at a local brewpub coupled with an apparent awesome snowstorm... should be in for a hairy ride.
