above average, most 14yo can only bench the bar

There is no set amount that a 14 year old should bench. You can bench what you can bench, and that will depend on how much, how long, how hard you work out, as well as genetics, your diet and your routine. I'm assuming you're a beginner though, and that is pretty good. You've made it this far, now keep going!

The only thing that matters is that you're doing >140 in 3-4 weeks. Get stronger every lift, no matter the age.

It's really good I was only benching 125 as a freshman and that was considered good compared to the kids stuck at 90lbs

When I was 14 I benched 100 lbs, big improvement from just the bar (45). Haha, those were the days.

What kind of question is this? Your age =/= how much you can bench.

The amount you should bench is what you can bench. Everyone has a different body, and even as an adult, it's impossible to say "oh this is a set amount." It's okay to compare, but do it for yourself. Not for others. Keep up the work man!

if you really weigh 190 pounds than 140 is, eh. i mean everyone is different so you can't really find an average considering everyone's body is different. for example, i'm 160 and can bench 190, and 14. we're all different.
just hit 4 months of lifting
200 bench
255 squat (where is leg day??)
300 dead lift

When I was 14..I could bench 130 once. you're above average doesn't matter though take this time to get way above everyone else if you play a sport. People will catch up fast if you slacking off. if youre 190 then its about average

95 (
205 bench before Jan 1st is a goal of mine.
Don't compare yourself to others, not worth it in the long run.

I read somewhere the average adult has like a max bench of 1 plate. Assuming that is true, I'd say you're well above average. Also, I could barely bench more than the bar at 14 lol...
