    skinny guys, how long did it take until it looked like you actually lift?

    so i've been lifting for about a year and a half, and just made some noob gains over the first year, but started getting more serious about it this summer over the last month and a half.
    I've put on 8 pounds so far since getting serious, and I'm just wondering how long till the average person suspects that i actually lift?

    some stats:
    starting weight before lifting-125
    after a year-135ish
    now-145ish

    i'm still skinny but i can see minor results just from the last month, so how much more weight do i need to start looking like i lift? i'm thinking at least 160
    when my shirt is off people can usually tell i'm at least quite fit, since i've got such a low body fat, it makes my muscles more noticeable

    Still don't. Went from 140 in September to 175- and am now at 165 at 11 percent. Visable abs, ect, but still way too skinny. I'm thinking by this time next year, I'll be starting to look like I lift

    Had to get to 140 before I even felt like I lifted. Still will feel small until I get 160 later this year.

    Avi was at about 130.

    ya i've been upping my calorie intake, but i'm not at 5k a day yet, i don't even know how people can do that without eating fast food every meal

    Sorry, I should say that I get compliments a lot, which is weird because at 175, everyone said why are you so skinny, cut and get abs , why are you so big lolol. So lifting by general public standards, yes

    By Misc standards, I still have a long way to go, size wise and strength wise

    I was at 4k on a bulk and pretty much had to have fast food once a day. It's almost impossible not too

    This. Don't be a ******* and spin your wheels for months. Lift heavy and eat even more, you can easily cut a little fat back off in a few weeks after bulking effectively.

    It's the nr.1 advice successful lifters give: i wish i would have started eating more earlier.
    Iron, sometimes it sets my teeth on edge, other times it helps me control the chaos.

    brb 50g of almonds contain around 350 calories(healthy calories). which is about a handful

    eat around 150g and thats around 1000 calories alone then protein shakes

    Took me 3 years to look like I lift. Before that, people didn't realize notice aside from close friend who saw me gain muscle weight. I would only get attention with my shirt off etc. At about 185 people started noticing, I got complements from females as well as males (which is kind of strange at times).

    different standards on the misc bro. If you get to 160 at 10 percent body fat you'll look like you lift. You shouldn't ask the misc since this place is ridden with people who have body dysmorphia and unrealistic standards and expectations.

    did you find it hard to get to 190? what i mean is do you really force yourself to eat a ton every day just to maintain that size/bulk more, or do you just get used to eating lots and it becomes natural to you?

    Dude thats a waste of money he should just make a homemade one with milk and peanut butter. Total calorie output is far more important then consuming a specific amount of grams of protein when it comes to bulking.

    don't waste your money just buy milk and peanut butter produces the same effects and gives you more control since you know what you're consuming.
