Very good to hear!
So the Demon Fitness shirts were printed today. Went and picked them up a bit ago and am very happy with the way they turned out, especially the tanks. Gonna be rocking one at the gym in a couple hours - hopefully a little added motivation on my lifts today To everyone who expressed interest in purchasing one or more, you should have been contacted by me, thanks

THOUGHTS:
Awesome workout today. Instead of doing my last set of 405x2 on deadlifts I decided to do some singles until it started getting heavy. Ended up all the way at 495x1, which is a good 25-30 lbs over my 1RM 4 weeks ago. Very happy about that. The road to 600 lb deadlift is in full force. Also, very happy with the way my shirts came out and wore it with pride in the gym today!

Thanks. Honestly, it wasn't all that hard. I was pleasantly surprised, especially because when I test 1RM, I don't do as many sets as I did yesterday - I just tacked these singles onto my Sheiko workout. Needless to say it makes me feel like 600 is obtainable now.
Haha, I know - sorry! I will take a pic either later tonight or tomorrow with it on. I'm in love with the tanks and I'm wishing I had more than 2 for myself at this point I will post it up though once I take it.
Thanks MuscleMom - long time no hear! I'm okay with people lurking, I'm guilty of that myself. Appreciate the support!
Thanks, I'll go wonder out and check the mail once my son wakes up. He was at the doc's today and was diagnosed with pink eye, an ear infection and the flu. Poor little guy. I also feel like ****, so I hope it's anything but the flu. Planned on taking the weekend off and finishing my last workout of this Sheiko iteration on Monday. Hope that plan still works out. Then will likely test maxes on bench and squat on Wed and I think just use 500 lbs for my deadlift max for the next go round.

So after battling a fever all day on Saturday, it broke overnight into Sunday, leaving me with a wicked sore throat, ear ache and swollen glands. This morning finds me feeling a little better but sore throat was absolutely brutal upon waking. 600 mg of ibuprofen helped a bit. Will see how I feel later today. I have decided to blow off the last workout of my Sheiko workout. Instead, the next time I hit the gym (hopefully either today or tomorrow) I will test out my squats and bench and will take 500 lbs for my deadlift max and start another iteration of Sheiko. Going to review the variations today and select one that looks "fun"

Yeah, good call. It's fun when I'm done these workouts but they are quite draining and brutal when going on. I do like training 3 days a week though even if the workouts are close to 2 hours long, as it gives me more evenings at home with the family.
So I'm feeling better as the day rolls on and I think I'll test my maxes tonight. I'm a little worried performance may be sub par since I was sick the last few days and my appetite was crap, but going to see how it goes. Here is where things stand:
LIFT CURRENT MAX NEW MAX
Deadlift 475 500(pulled 495 a couple days ago relatively easily, so this should be good)
Squat 365 380? (Hoping to squat 380 tonight, though I will be happy with 375)
Bench 265 275? (Honestly will be lucky if I get this. When the weights get really heavy, my left pec starts acting up. I don't think it's fully healed and I'm afraid if I push too hard I could make it worse than it already is.
Will let you know later tonight how I made out and which Sheiko I'm rolling with for the next 4 weeks.

So against better judgement, I went in to test 1RM tonight after being sick and still recovering from it. While my strength felt okay, my stamina was in the dumps. It went something like this:
Squat - 45x12, 135x8, 225x5, 275x3, 275x3, 315x1, 335x1, 355x1, 370x1 PR!
Bench Press - 45x15, 135x8, 185x3, 185x3, 225x1, 245x1, 265x1, 275x1
Then did a little bit of accessory work: T-Bar rows, DB Laterals, DB Curls and seated calf raises
I struggled with the last 3 singles in squats with the walk out and re-racking of the weight. The squat itself was fairly easy, but I felt really weak in the knees and had a hard time racking the weight. As such, I asked for a spot on my set of 370 and I never really had a spot on squats before. It felt awkward and I ended up modifying my descent a bit and ended up sitting in the hole for 2 seconds but felt like an eternity. I was able to explode back up without a problem, but that was the end of that. Really felt uncomfortable in my hips/back/knees. Either way, I am happy. Going to add another 5 lbs to that and go with 375 as my max.
Bench press faired a bit better. Still have a hesitancy with my left pec and it's all I think about when the weight starts to get heavy. 275 was slow to go up, but I was happy to add another 10 lbs to bench after a month and will stick with 275. That leaves me with:
Deadlift - 500
Squat - 375
Bench - 275
for my next Sheiko iteration. Once I get some grub I'll review my options and see which ones suit my mood. I'm definitely not going with the iteration that has you squatting 105% of 1RM the first week though. F That

Sheiko #40 it is
So I will admit I'm a bit intimidated to take on #40 but will give it a go. Specifically, I'm scared of the first deadlift workout that has me doing 3 sets of 2 with 100% of my deadlift weight for rack pulls. I'm actually weaker on rack pulls than deadlifting off the floor because I use lots of leg drive on my deadlift and not so much back. I will see what I can do. If I fail that one thing throughout the whole iteration I'll still be a happy camper!

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I train earlier. As soon as I'm done work I head over, usually around 4 or a little after. Doing Sheiko which really only focuses on bench/squat/deads is a pain in the ass if the racks are in use. The one day I went a little later last week I had to wait around for a bench. There is almost always someone doing some curls or the like in the racks too.

I waited on a squat rack yesterday while some one did upright rows in the squat rack...... with just the bar and no plates

The double whammy! No plates and doing an exercise that doesn't require a rack! Even barbell shrugs, I understand it's easier to put the bar on the pins and do them that way, but really, just deadlift it off the floor and shrug it from there. Leave the racks for things like squats, OHP or rackpulls.
Gonna do what I can. I have a feeling I will be hating Sheiko thoroughly by the time I'm done with 40

THOUGHTS:
Probably could have benefitted from some rest after testing my maxes yesterday. My shoulders were pretty burned out by the time all the benching was done. I was also on a time crunch since my wife was leaving tonight to go out of town for business so I had to forego some of the accessory work. Fine by me. Resting up for Thursday, where the dreaded rack pulls will be staring me straight in the face. Sheiko #40 has begun!
