I actually don't really stretch muscles out. Mainly joints and surrounding fascia.
Without doing so, my SI issue would still be plaguing me and I would not be deadlifting or squatting right now. And, I'm rehabbing this shoulder in the same manner.
BUT, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. You're strong as a fkn ox, Stan lol. Who am I to question?

THOUGHTS:
Woke up this morning and man was I stiff and sore. This latest iteration of Wendler's is kicking my ass since I upped the numbers. I did get it going this morning though and into the gym I went. Took my time warming up with deadlifts before jumping into my worksets and they went down without any problem. I went light on the accessory work because I'm feeling so beat up. Off day tomorrow to veg and watch football, then back at it on Monday. Happy weekend all!!

Great stuff Stan! Harrybeast is right you made 505 look easy! I also liked that smile that came out right at the end of the video!

Off today. Happy about that. Watched the UFC pay per view at my brother's place last night. Was pretty good except for the BS split decision for the last fight of the night.
Low back is really bothering me today. So glad I'm not deadlifting again for several days. OHP tomorrow - gonna through that weight straight up to the sky!

Leg Extensions - 120x12
THOUGHTS:
So I made it a point to setup in the power rack with the safety bars for squats today. I think I have a mental block on my heavier sets for some reason as of late. For example, 375x2 was pretty hard and I was doubting whether I could get the 3rd rep, but rather than try and fail, I just racked the weight. Kind of frustrating because I'm really trying to push hard for some new PRs before my offseason comes to an end. Gotta figure this out.
Also just did a single set on leg extensions - I really don't like the pressure it puts on my knee ever since I hurt it so I usually always avoid this movement or go really light.

A rep no more...
Unfortunately I found out today that the company I have been a board rep for for the better part of a year is eliminating their board rep positions entirely. Their reasons are their own and I won't go into them here, but it did come as a shock to me. Feeling kind of bad about it.
While ultimately my goal is to one day be a sponsored athlete for a company, I will continue to work hard and pound the pavement in an effort to become a rep for another reputable company whose products I can stand behind. These are opportunities I never take lightly or for granted and their ability to help me within the sport of bodybuilding are great indeed. Even more fuel for the fire for my upcoming show in June as I try to increase my visibility.
Until then though I'm enjoying my "free agent" status, which means I can bash other companies and neg reps I kid, I'm not that kind of guy.
Here's to whatever the future may hold!

We all have those days, brother. Head up, keep moving, and crush it the next session.
As for being timid on reps...fkn GET AT EM!!!! If it buries you in the hole...so be it. No reason to doubt yourself. You work too hard for it to have that mindset.
Specifically, what are your PR goals before prep? I will happily hold you accountable."The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."

Flat DB Bench - 80x10, 85x10, 85x9, 90x7

THOUGHTS:
285 on bench press was a piece of cake. Through on 295 for good measure and it was surprisingly much more of a grind than I expected. No worries though. Was feeling high energy and pretty good throughout the workout - even hit some abs which I rarely do. Will see how my low back and legs feel tomorrow before deciding if I'm gonna hit deadlifts tomorrow or not. May hold off until Friday.
Snapped a pic with me in all my Controlled Labs apparel today too at the gym. The beanie is clutch for keeping my bald head warm in the cold weather and the F*CK Genetics shirts speaks volumes as to how every year that goes by, I'm sticking it to my ****ty bodybuilder genetics

Broke open the Purple Wraath this afternoon - mixed in 1.5 scoops and out the door I went!
WEIGHT: 227.4
SUPPLEMENTS:
Controlled Labs - Purple Wraath (lemonade)
All American EFX - Karbolyn
All American EFX - Vitadrive
All American EFX - Joint Rehab
All American EFX - NF Pro Whey Protein
All American EFX - i-Rush
All American EFX - ZMA
WORKOUT:
Wendlers (2nd Phase) - Week 3 / Deadlifts
Deadlifts - 395x5, 450x3, 505x1 (video), 525x1 (video)
Deficit Deads - 315x5, 335x5
T-Bar Rows - 135x10, 180x10, 180x10, 200x10
Lat Pulldown Machine - 170x12, 170x12, 170x10
THOUGHTS:
I knew it was going to be a good deadlift session when the 395x5 felt like nothing at all. I hit the prescribed 505 single and decided to throw another 20 lbs on and go for one more. Was tired at this point, but the weight came up no problem.
Really enjoyed the lemonade flavor. I sip it throughout my entire workout (adding more water to it as it gets low) and then polish it off when I get home. It wasn't overly "lemony" tasting which I like. Very light and refreshing.
