DOMs have started out bad and have gone to ridiculous. Sure, my low back and my abdominals are a tad sore, but no more than normal. What is killing me is my upper and middle back are torched. You would think I do a 2 hour back workout full of rows and pull-ups. Crazy. Deadlifts really do hit more muscles than any other movement. Vouching for that first hand today. Laundry has been a challenge today, I'll tell you that much.
If I am just as sore tomorrow I will be pushing my final Sheiko workout off until Monday

THOUGHTS:
Sheiko #40 is in the books. That makes 3 consecutive Sheiko cycles. Will reflect back on how far I've come strength wise and think on where to go from here. Still pushing for 315 bench, 405 squat and 585 deadlift. A good ways to go. My back and hips were sore as hell but my legs were strong. Squats actually were easy and only needed about 45 seconds between sets today. Also on bench, I added in those last 3 sets and after failing on 265x2 last week I got it without too much difficulty. Planning on testing 1RM on Wednesday after a couple days off.

T-8 hours until gym time. These last two days out of the gym have been torture! I have also been thinking about this upcoming workout nonstop. Very anxious to get it over with. Really want to come away with a new squat and deadlift PR. If I can hit 290 on bench I will be satisfied. Update later tonight...

Just polished off a can of mini raviolis (hope my son doesn't mind). Also went with 2 glasses of milk, some whey protein, 1 scoop of Karbolyn and 1 of the biggest fluffiest pancakes my wife has ever made. Gonna polish off a big bowl of oats, some whey and some more Karbolyn in a bit and then it's time to WORK!

THOUGHTS:
What to say about tonight's workout... Exceeded my expectations on squats to be sure. Up 25 lbs over a month ago. Bench press went equally well, up 15 lbs over a month ago. Deadlifts... I knew I was gonna be hurting after squats and to be sure my legs felt like jelly. If I had only maxed deadlifts I'm confident 525 would have been pulled. After failing on 515 and getting it about 3 inches off the ground, I regrouped, refocused and put 505 in it's place! Going to use 515 as my training max for my next routine. What routine you ask? Going with Wendler's 5-3-1. Planning on starting Friday unless overly sore. Also needed to get my max on OHP which I rarely do and is my worst lift. Even still, pulled out a 160 which was a PR for me. Onto bigger and better things. Getting stronger everyday!
P.S. - Sorry there are no vids, as it was either heavy metal blaring through my iPhone or some videos. Worked out with a buddy of mine though who is available to validate any lifts

In summary...
So to sum up my Sheiko experience....
11-19-2012 - Sheiko #29
Squat: 340
Bench: 242
Dead: 451
12-27-2012 - Sheiko #30
Squat - 365 (+25)
Bench - 265 (+23)
Dead - 475 (+24)
1-22-2013 - Sheiko #40
Squat - 375 (+10)
Bench - 275 (+10)
Dead - 500 (+25)
2-20-2013 - Start of 5-3-1 for MASS
Squat - 400 (+25)
Bench - 290 (+15)
Dead - 505 (+5)
Sheiko gets my seal of approval granted you have the will to punish yourself and the mentality to push through the monotonous workouts. It sure works. In 3 months I've added 60 to my squat, 48 to my bench and 54 to my deadlift. Though I would claim I added 64 to my deadlift. I am more than confident that had I not squatted prior to deadlifting last night. 515 would have been cake and who knows how much further I could have gone.
Excited for a switch in routines. Will be hitting Bench, Squat, Dead, OHP only once per week which will be a nice change of pace, but this flavor of 5-3-1 focuses more on the accessory movements and adding some size with strength a secondary factor. Still hoping to push new PRs month after month, just don't expect to have the big gains I've seen with Sheiko.

Thanks guys - work and u will receive. Looking back at how exhausted I was after each and everyone of those Sheiko sessions (36 of them), it was nice to collect the rewards. Hope to build on my new found strength and transition into more of a mass building focus until I hit my goal weight of 215. Then it be time for a mini cut

Thanks Darren - some was definitely had
Big breakfast this morning in prep for deadlift day (2 cups milk, scoop of whey, scoop of Karbolyn, 1/2 cup oats). Only have to pull 350, 375 and 395 - each for 5 reps. Hopefully won't be too bad. If I'm feeling good I am going to try and capture a video of me pulling 505 again if not more. There is a company promo by AppNut where you need to outlift their reps. Just have to beat a 500 lb deadlift to win. We'll see what the morning brings. Definitely not going to go for it if not feeling it though. Probably still worn down from maxing on Wednesday but not realizing it yet.

THOUGHTS:
Workout went really well. Deadlifts felt relatively easy so I decided to try for some singles and see if I had a 505 in me for the contest. Sure enough I did. Unfortunately the camera man forgot to push record on my first attempt, hence doing it twice. The second attempt kicked my ass but I got it. Went relatively light on the accessory lifts because of all the heavy singles. Done maxing anything for awhile now and focus on upping my accessory lifts each workout.

Thanks Dean. Was happy to get the 505 for sure. Scored me two full size bottles of HGH-Up. Never tried a natural HGH booster before, but seems some people enjoy them. Similar to what Alex (NaturalPursuit) is logging with HGH Pro.
Boring but big is quite effective from what I've read. After doing 12 weeks of boring with Sheiko I needed some variety in order to keep my sanity
