    Are these bruises or new stretch marks?

    I got these a week ago at the back of my upper arm above the tricep and below the shoulder.
    I'm wondering if they're stretch marks or just bruises.
    Reason i'm not sure is because i got a whole bunch of these fine lines and usually stretch marks look more torn and deeper more scar-like.
    I'm talking bout the pink lines, i know i got some old white stretch marks at the same area but those are already mostly faded.

    the coloration looks like a stretch mark i got them where my shoulder meets my chest when i first started.

    Yeah that's where most people get them that's why i thought it was weird they were stretch marks because of the unsual place at the back of my upper arm.
    Also the lines go in all directions which is weird because usually skin only stretches a certain direction.
    But i'll add some maderma anti stretch mark cream on it and see if it helps.

    For me It's hard to see, but I don't think It's stretch marks.

    Looks more like lacerations or something.

    Looks more like scratches or something irritated your skin. But even stretch marks can go away after time so, just give it time.

    I've had this happen to me before too, and after a while I noticed it was because of using the hanging ab straps. they pinch your arm and cause this. So if you're using the ab straps that could be a cause.

    they don't look like stretch marks because stretch marks usually run in a certain direction. The marks in the picture run diagonally, vertically, horizontally, some of the lines even intersect

    You mean the bands from hanging knee raises on the pull up bar? I have been using those.

    Don't look like stretch marks to me, stretch marks tend toe follow a certain direction. I imagine they'd probably fade away after a week or something. If you're worried about them being stretch marks you could get some cocoa butter and apply to the area.

    To me they look like stretch marks. The areas which appear to be more red than the others indicate they look new.

    This is likely the reason. Just like calf raises where the pad sits on the shoulder and leaves a spider web like pattern from the pressure. Should fade withing a day or two.
